NARRATIVE TEXT

 Teks naratif adalah teks tentang dongeng

 Tujuan narrative text adalah untuk menghibur (to amuse and entertain), mendidik (to
educate) dan memberi nilai moral (give moral value) pada pembaca.
 Struktur Narrative Text
1) Orientation : Pengenalan tokoh, tempat dan waktu terjadinya cerita (siapa atau apa,
kapan dan dimana).
2) Complication : Permasalahan muncul / mulai terjadi dan berkembang.
3) Resolution : Pemecahan masalah, secara baik "happy ending" ataupun buruk "bad
ending".
 Unsur Kebahasaan Narrative Text
1) Menggunakan pola kalimat Simple Past Tense (lampau) : Was/were dan Verb 2
2) Biasanya dimulai dengan kata keterangan waktu (Adverbs of Time), seperti :
long time ago...(pada zaman dahulu)
once (pada suatu waktu)
one day (pada suatu hari)
once upon a time (pada suatu ketika)

Orientation: Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl called Cinderella.
who, where, when She lived with her stepsisters and stepmother. They treated her
badly. She had to do all the house work.
Complication : One day an invitation to the ball came to the family.
the problem raising But, her stepsisters would not let her go. Cinderella was sad.
The stepsisters went to the ball without her.
Resolution : Fortunately, the fairy godmother came and helped her to get
the problem was solved to the ball. At the ball, Cinderella danced with the prince. The
prince fell in love with her and then married her. They lived
happily ever after.
