Q1. What were the reconciliatory role of Sir Syed Ahmed khan between British and Muslims?

Answer: Effort of Sir Syed Ahmed khan for reconciliation between Muslims and British Government

1. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan played a vital role in improving the status of the Muslim community in
subcontinent.
2. Sir Syed Ahmed khan wanted to remove the misunderstanding between the Muslims and British
and Muslims and to create reconciliation among them.
3. He worked tirelessly to restore relations with the British, particularly after the War of
Independence
4. He had written a pamphlet, “Cause of Indian Revolt “in which he tried his best to tell the British
that the real cause of war of 1857 was the unawareness of British with the native ideas and
traditions
5. He wanted that Muslims should educate themselves with western education to regain their
prestige and status.
6. He loved his nation to much therefore he wants the Muslims should reconcile with the British
and should educate themselves.
7. He believed in the trinity of ideas
I) Loyalty to British
ii) Devotion to education and
iii) Aloofness from politics .in this way he showed the Muslims the path of progress.

Q2. Discuss the educational services of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.

Educational Services  sir Syed Ahmed khan thought that Muslims could regain their status through
modern education. Thus he devoted all his life to impart western education to Muslims/. There for he
established following educational Institutes:

i. Moradabad School 1858.

ii. Establishment of Scientific Society in 1863.
iii. Victoria School Ghazipur 1864.
iv. Aligarh Institues Gazette.
v. Mao High School in 1875 which was later became MAO College.
vi. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 1920.
vii. Organized the Mohammedan Educational Conference.
