1. Discuss in detail the criteria used to evaluate appropriateness of

research topic, steps in formulating research problem,
characteristics of good research questions.
2. What do you mean secondary data and how do you differentiate it
from primary data? When should researcher use secondary data and
factors to be considered to use secondary data as the only source of
data?
3. What are the commonly used data gathering instruments for
gathering primary data? Compare and contrast each of them in
terms of their nature, advantage and disadvantages/limitations.
4. Discuss in detail the nature, importance and process of literature
review as well as techniques of literature note taking.
5. What are the ways of stating hypothesis? Does having hypothesis is
mandatory for all studies? when it is mandatory to have
hypothesis?
