This is to formally request that I be allowed to relieve the outgoing 2 nd mate, Joe Bobby Christo, who
will be signing off in Newark port on 15 June 2021.
I am confident that my experience and trainings have prepared me for this role. Over the last three
years, I have always worked hard and excelled in my job as shown in my previous appraisals. More
importantly, after years of observing and assisting, I am already familiar with the duties and
responsibilities of a 2nd mate and have acquired the necessary skills for this role. Also, I have
successfully completed all the Seagull courses required.
