-Identify a leader that you admire and explain what characteristics, values and traits you see
in this leader that help them to be effective?

The leader I admire is Soekarno, he was the first president of Indonesia. Soekarno was an
authoritative, charismatic figure, intellectual, ideologue and even a perfect figure as the
leader of the nation. It can raise the spirit of nationalism in the Indonesian people. A figure
whose services cannot be forgotten in building this country. The great sacrifices that have
been made by him, especially in terms of making Indonesia independent from colonialism,
will always be embedded as merits that will not be eroded forever by the masses. As the
founding father of the nation, Soekarno had to face many painful events, and had to end up in
very apprehensive treatment. Being thrown away, blackmailed, kicked, and thrown away, he
just had to accept it until the end of it. There is no proper respect for Soekarno, who was hit
by a disease that was so frightening that he passed away without respect for the nation's
founding fathers. He has a very popular leadership style and has an explosive temper. The
leadership style adopted by Soekarno was oriented towards the ideology that underlies the
state, so that it was consistent and suitable to be applied in that era.

In Indonesia, the figure of Soekarno is an example of a charismatic leader who is hard to find
anymore today. He is a role model for how a leader is able to change people and do many
things. He was good at changing people's perceptions, making others obey his orders, doing
what he wanted. Sukarno's ability to move, influence, and diplomacy had united various
ethnic groups, religions, groups into one unit called Indonesia. His various statements and
ideas were able to ignite enthusiasm and unite the entire Indonesian nation to expel the
invaders from the homeland until they succeeded in gaining independence. Soekarno's ideas
not only fueled the spirit of the Indonesian people in their struggle to expel colonialists but
also inspired national leaders in various parts of the world. Through his idea, Soekarno
wanted to make the Indonesian nation live independently, without debt, let alone begging
from foreign countries or institutions. Soekarno's leadership style was very effective in
ancient times to free Indonesia from the invaders. This also makes me admire the figure of
Soekarno.
