A brief study of Wannacry Threat: Ransomware Attack 2017

Digitalization has increased the convenience of human life, where every information
can be accessed 24 hours, Digitalization has helped reduce crime if it is applied as a whole,
gets things done easily and has reduced documentation work. But still it creates security
concerns for someone's private and confidential information. Many thefts or cyber attacks such
as spyware, malware, Trojans, phishing, intruders, spam, viruses occur. Ransomware is also
theft. This is a type of infection that can be difficult to pass if passed. Ransomware is also a
form of data theft, this is a type of infection that if transmitted will be very difficult to get out.
Ransomware is one of them, it can lock down the system in a way that no knowledgeable
person should ever reverse. Not only targeting home computers but businesses are also
affected. It encrypts the data in such a way that normal people can no longer decrypt it.
Someone has to pay a ransom to decrypt it. But it does not result in that the file will be released.
In this case WannaCry Ransomware Attack 2017 is the worst attack ever. WannaCry
Ransomware is a type of malicious software that blocks user access to files or systems, holds
files or entire devices hostage using encryption until the victim pays a ransom in exchange for
a decryption key, which allows the user to access files or systems encrypted by the program. It
may be hard to imagine. The ransomware's encryption effect works by obfuscating the content
of users' files, through the use of strong encryption algorithms. The victim has no other
alternative, but to pay the attacker to reverse this process, and the hacker asks for payment in
bitcoin. If it doesn't give a warning that the file will be deleted. Prevention is very important to
keep your computer safe. It is a recommendation for users to keep their operating system and

various sources such as advertisements, emails and many other things. If the ransomware is
clicked, it will later infect our computers, be it important data or useless things.
