Defines minimum requirements for the design, material selection, inspection and testing requirements of centrifugal fans, drivers, and accessories etc., purchased by the Buyer. 2. Defines additional requirements that supplement API Standard 673, 2” Edition. 3. Defines exceptions that can be taken to certain features permitted by API, Standard 673, 2 Edition. U Seller's bid shall outline all deviations and exceptions. Any deviation from this standard requires prior express approval of the Buyer before the Seller proceeds with the work. Buyer allows deviations only where the safety of the service is not compromised and where the alternate design has potential for cost savings. Seller shall outline details of such advantages as part of the proposal. However, compliance with this Standard does not relieve the Seller of the responsibility of providing proper design, mechanical reliability, and metallurgical fitness of the product while meeting the operating conditions specified on the datasheets. The paragraph and section numbering of this Standard is the same as in API 673, 2" Edition while defining exceptions, options, or supplementary requirements. ‘Symbols and conventions used throughout this specification are defined as follows: Abullet (+). A decision made where required by corresponding paragraph of API-673 A delta (A) ‘An exception has been made to the corresponding paragraph of ‘API-673.
