The game finally received a boost in status when it became an Olympic

sport in 1992 Barcelona Games having being an exhibition sport in

1972 Munich Games and the 1988 Seoul Games.

In 2006 it’s members all 176 of them voted to change their name to
Badminton World Federation or (BWF).

There are various suppliers of badminton equipment today but two of

the most recognisable ones Yonex and Victor began making their
badminton rackets in 1950’s and 1960’s respectively. Both companies
