Part 1 (2 minutes / 3 minutes for groups of three)

Interlocutor:

“Good evening. My name is...and this is my colleague… And your names are…?”

“Thank you. First of all, we’d like to know something about you”.

● “Where are you from, (Candidate A)? And you, (Candidate B)?”

● “(Candidate B), are you working or studying at the moment?”

● “And you, (Candidate A)?”

Select a further question for each candidate.

● You’ve said you’re from (candidate’s hometown/area). How would you characterise its
culture?

● Are you good at expressing yourself?

● What do you mostly use the internet for?

● How much interest do you take in advances in the world of science and technology?

● What would your dream job be?

● Will travel play an important role in your future career?


Part 2 (approximately 4 minutes / 6 minutes for groups of three)

Topic: Company planning - new employees.

Interlocutor:

“Now, in this part of the test you’re going to do something together”.


“Here are some pictures of people in different situations”.
“First, I’d like you to look at pictures A and talk together about how the people might be feeling”.

“You have about a minute for this, so don’t worry if I stop you”. (2 minutes for groups of three)

“Thank you. Now look at both pictures”.

“I’d like you to imagine that a television company is planning a series of three documentaries on
lifestyles today. These pictures illustrate the topic of the first programme.

“Talk together about changes that are taking place in peoples’ lifestyles today, as shown in the picture.
Then suggest two other aspects of modern lifestyles that should be included in the rest of the series”.

“You have 3 minutes to talk about this. (4 minutes for groups of three)
