Dinesh Kumar, Professor in Decision Sciences, Indian Institute ofManagement Bangalore (IIMB), has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Prominent Analytic Academicians in India for his extensive research in big data analyses by Analytics India Magazine, Addressing the radical emergence of Analytics as a serious subject of science and management, he introduced Business Analytics elective course in 2008 to the PGP students at IIM Bangalore and, started one of the first certificate programmes in Business Analytics in India in 2010. Professor Dinesh Kumar regularly conducts corporate training programmes in Analytics and has trained more than 1500 professionals in the field of analytics in the last 8 years. He is currently a Chairperson for Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics), al ‘Two-year fulltime programme MBA(BA) of IMB. He is also al Chairperson of Data Centre and Analytics Lab and Career Development Services at IIMB. He is the president of thel Analytics Society of India (ASI).
