REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT

Goal: AUTOMATATE THE HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES

Software requirements (At customer end):

 

 Customer shall have the latest Java virtual machine (JVM) installed. 
 Customer shall be internet capable with at least one internet browser available.
 Customer mobile must be internet capable with an internet capable with an internet
browser.
 Customer shall have minimum of 128MB of RAM.

Software Requirements (At developer end):

 Any Java development platform.

Hardware Requirements:

Workstation
 Customer workstation shall have keyboard input.
 Customer workstation shall have roller ball mouse input
 Customer workstation shall have minimally a 19-inch monitor.
 All interfaces on customer workstation shall be scalable in information display size.
 Customer workstation shall have appropriate hardware for network connection.
 Optionally, the customer workstation shall have speakers for sound if any responses are
done aurally through the workstation.

Mobile Device:

 Customer mobile device shall use its pre-existing hardware interfaces such as USB
connection,
 network connection, or other features as applicable to the product.

X-10:

 System shall provide x-10 controllers to be integrated with framework.

 Sensors:

 System shall accept input signals from smoke detectors.

 System shall accept input signals from motion sensor.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Configure system

 Performance of system
 User friendly system.
 Maintainability should be less
