Video Localization Instructions

Update (04-03-2021):
Font used in videos is Helvetica Neue
In the translated videos it is important that texts do not cover the product - unless this is also
the case in the English version.
Please be extremely attentive to how the original animations are made. These videos are
reviewed by the design agency for Braun and they are absolute pixel fuckers!
We do not have the original project. Only the clean and the English versions.
Do not make all the videos. Start with the 3 originals and turn them into Romanian. Those
we will review.

In this first batch we will need to localise 3 videos for Braun:

1. Braun 007 - EasyClick

2. Braun 007 - How to use the shaver
3. Braun 007 - SmartCare Center

Materials received:

1. 3 Clean videos (these we will use to create the localised versions)

2. 3 English videos that function as the template for the localised video we will need to
make.
3. 1 xls document called translations (RO_IT_TR) with the first 3 translations for
Romania, Italy, and Turkey on a separate tab.

In total we will be making around 19 localised videos for each of the 3 base videos. Now we
have received translations only for 3 languages, but we’ll receive more soon. It is indicated
that for each of the 3 product videos you create a master project based on the clean
versions in which you recreate the texts and text animations as on the English versions. That
master version can then easily be duplicated and populated with the new language content.
After making some final adjustments you can then easily export a new language version
video.

The exports need to be in the same resolution and video format as the English version. It is
possible that the customer will request at some point different sized exports.

You can share the exported videos in the same drive folder that holds the original materials.
We also ask you to share a copy of the full project (or projects) in the drive folder when
done. NOT FOR THE FIRST TEST VIDEOS - AFTER ALL 19 LANGUAGES ARE
LOCALISED.

Important note #1: In the English “How to use the shaver” video you will see at approx. 0:12
an animated charger and connector in white on grey background. It appears that the agency
did not include this in the clean versions and has difficulty in supplying us with the separate
animation. The question is if we can take the animation out of the English video and use it
for the localizations.

Important note #2: The music for the “EasyClick” (Clean & English) video has some
problem and is phasing. Please use the music from one of the other videos to not replicate
the problem in the localized versions.
