In today’s society, many students who graduated high school attend a

college and a huge part of those college students are taking up part-
time jobs. So why are there so many students with part-time jobs?
Many have answered this question but by far the most influential
reasons are money and, on the other hand, experience.

Seldom does a college student have enough money for anything else
than his or hers life expenses such as housing, food and essential self-
care items unless their family possess a wealth. So, in order to afford
other things, like some fancy shoes or pieces of clothing or maybe even
a night out with friends, students are taking part-time jobs with a
decent wage such as working in a restaurant or in a fast food or even, if
possible, working in company.

Yet, money aren’t the sole reason why students want to get hired part-
time. Another big motivation for college students is the experience they
get, because in a future job inteview it will make them look better in
the eyes of the interviewers hence it will make it easier to get hired
later in their life when they finish their studies.

In my honest opinion, even though, at the same time, money and

experience have both a big motivation for students to get hired, I think
that the money they get from a part-time job is more important that
the experience they obtain because you don’t really know when you
might need an extra amount of money for something very important.
