Answer the following Questions.

1. Suppose a body is present at point P, it starts moving from

that particular point and reaches Q. After some time it again
starts moving and reaches R. Now, immediately it proceeds
towards the next point S. Now from S, the body turns back,
starts moving and stops at R.

Calculate the following:

a. The displacement.
15 – 0 = 15km

b. The distance.
10 + 5 + 15 + 15 = 45

Answer: 15 Km, 45 Km

2. In the figure, we see three clones on a line. They

are each two meters apart. Calculate the following:
a. The displacement of C relative to A.
2- (-2) = 2+ 2 = 4

b. The displacement of A relative to C.

-2 – 2 = -4

Answer: + 4, - 4

3. A gecko moving along the x-axis from xi to xf.

Calculate the following:
a. The displacement.
Here the displacement is equal to the distance as
