INSTRUCTION FOR REPLACING THE RADIATOR


- FOR SACHA AND GALAPAGOS POWER PLANT
1. New Radiator For Ecuador Sacha and Galapagos Sites

- Radiator Replacing Procedure

The new radiator will be installed in the same position as before, and the leg height will
be changed from 1.5m to 2m.
1. Remove the existing radiator

1. Cut off and disconnect the piping and the electrical wiring
2. Remove the MDU VENT DUCT
3. Remove the existing radiator
2. Install the new radiator
The recommended installation procedure is.
1) Remove units from container and check for damage/shortages.
2) Position stanchions and fit cross braces.
Do not fit lateral and front braces.
3) Before positioning radiator check security of fixings.

the existing base pad
attached to the top of the
MDU.
2. Install the new radiator
4) Attach Hand rail Post on the side and end of units.
5) And Attach hand-rail to Handrail Post.
6) Attach H-Beam frame and monorail to the bottom of units.
7) Lift radiators into position on stanchion, secure with the fixings.
8) Once all units are in place, fit lateral and front braces to stanchions and radiator.
9) Attach ladder to radiator.
3. Re-Install the MDU Ventilation Duct

1) Connect the provided MDU Ventilation duct 1m before reinstalling the MDU Ventilation duct .
2) Reinstall the modified MDU Ventilation duct.
3) Install the support including additional support provided
4. Reinstallation of Piping
1) Connect the cooling water inlet, outlet , Expansion Tank Engine Vent , Drain, Water fill-in line.
2) Additional pipes must be welded and attached for matching. We will supply additional pipes
and counter flanges.
3) Connect the rubber expansion joints, gauges, air vents, drain valves and control sensor.

Connect the nozzle of the expansion tank(Engine Vent , Drain,


Water fill-in line) after checking the dimensions with the supplied
pipe and elbow.
5. Electrical Connections
1) Maintain the cut off condition of electric power before wiring to prevent an electric shock or
fire.
2) The MCCB and terminal block of the EGCP's radiator feed must be replaced before wiring to
a new radiator. Also, the cable from the radiator to EGCP shall be changed. We will supply the
material to be changed as shown in the table below.

3) Connect the main power to the radiator control


MCCB panel and connect the status and operation cables.

4) Connect the sensor cable to the installed
temperature sensor.
