A Glimpse about Me

My name is Joshua G. Cagod born on July 28, 2001. I am currently residing in Pan-ay Diot,
Tudela, Misamis Occidental with my parents Anita Cagod and Rogelio Cagod. Honestly, he is not my
biological father because my father died already 9 years ago, to be exact that was December 31, 2012. I’m
a second year college student taking up Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in Northwestern Mindanao
Christian College.

My friends always call me “insik” because of my chinito eyes. I’m so bubbly and fun to be with
if I will be given a chance to get to know each other even more. I love going on adventures with my
friends, because for me meeting new people are very interesting. Wherein, I can be able to deal with
different personalities of individuals and may learn something from them based on their various
experiences in life. Aside from that, travelling with my family is what I also love because it strengthens
our bond/family ties.

When it comes to picking what to eat, I really love to eat street foods. Another thing, I love to
cook and it is one of my hobbies because I was a culinary student during my senior high school years. It
actually inspires me to cook when my parents would compliment me with what I’ve done. I also do
accept comments or any suggestions with how the way I cook because it serves as a stepping stone for me
to improve. As what Julia Child said, “The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking, you’ve
got to have a what-the-hell attitude.”

Moreover, I can say that I’m a responsible and hard-working son. I help my mother in doing the
household chores. I also help my father in doing his work in the rice field. At least in this way my parents
could even be relieved and to have some rest. Helping my parents makes me happy every single day. I am
greatly thankful for having such adorable parents like them because without them, I will not be here
living in this world wandering all around.

In winding up, what I want to be in the future is to become a policeman. The reason behind this is
I want to help our fellowmen to be secured. And I want to break those misconceptions of the people about
the policemen. I want to prove to them that not all police are bad. There are still policemen who will do
their best to perform their duties instead of harming the people. With that, if God will allow me to achieve
this goal in life, I will do everything to serve our country.
