Transport in Hong Kong

The network is made up of the metro, trams, buses and minibuses, taxis and ferries.
The Hong Kong subway consists of 12 lines that cover practically the entire territory of the region. The most
interesting lines from the tourist point of view are the following: Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line and Airport express.
Hong Kong's trams are narrow and colorful, and they all have two floors. In addition to brightening the streets of
the city with its continuous walks, they constitute a peculiar and effective means of transport to carry out certain
routes. The trams make six different routes that cover a total of 30 kilometers throughout the results there are 120
stops.
There are buses of several companies that make similar (or equal) routes and the price can vary between them. For
a tourist it is recommended to use the tourist bus. The Hong Kong sightseeing bus offers several tours that allow
you to get to know the city comfortably from an open-top double-decker bus. The Hong Kong hop-on, hop-off tour
is accompanied by commentary in Spanish that can be heard with headphones.
Hong Kong taxis are red and white, metered and relatively cheap, especially compared to Europe. In Hong Kong
there are taxis that have four or five seats in addition to those of the driver. This is indicated on a plate that cars
carry on the front.
In Hong Kong there are 11 companies that are dedicated to the maritime transport of passengers.
The two most important ferries for travelers are the Star Ferry, double-decker boats that cross the bay making the
journey between Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island.
Hong Kong currency
Hong Kong dollar is the currency unit of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. It is usually
abbreviated with the dollar symbol ($), but to differentiate them from other currencies with the same
denomination, HKD is used. The Hong Kong dollar is one of the most widely traded currencies in the world. The
Hong Kong currency has a fixed exchange rate against the US dollar of HK $ 7.80 for US $ 1.
