Viettel is a state-owned corporation, owned by the Ministry of National Defense, and is a


business enterprise in the fields of post, telecommunications and information technology.
Therefore, the leadership positions in enterprises are competent, experienced and highly
qualified state officials.
Viettel's specific resources include:
+ Viettel is one of the leading economic groups in Vietnam with a large number of employees up
to about 50,000 people (2020). A team of young, dynamic employees with high professional
qualifications, carefully recruited, well-trained, and appropriately allocated to promote their
professional abilities.
+ About technology: Viettel always focuses on developing technology to keep up with world
technology, the company continuously improves product quality and lowers costs. Viettel is one
of the first operators to apply 5G technology in the world.
+ In terms of infrastructure: Viettel has a nationwide network with about 761 stores and nearly
3,000 agents. In addition, Viettel is present in 10 other countries with its own name, own logo
and own brand.
+Financially, Viettel is the most profitable enterprise in the information technology and
telecommunications industry.
+ Brand: is a familiar brand of the domestic market with the famous slogan "speak your way"
Core competencies:

Entering the market in the early 90's, with unremitting efforts, Viettel has broken the unique
position of VNPT and has a strong foothold in the domestic telecommunications market.
Viettel pioneered in internet services - providing the most complete telecommunications
services;
Viettel ranks No. 1 in nationwide coverage - present mostly in border-island areas;
Attractive rates, with enough packages for all service users;
Leading in promotional services, holding the 2nd largest market share in the country in terms of
network transmission and number of subscribers.
Financial Feasibility
In 2007, the Military Telecommunications Group established Viettel Global with the ambition of
bringing the Vietnamese brand to "export". After only 2 years, Viettel Global was present in
Laos and Cambodia and became a Vietnamese telecommunications enterprise present outside of
Vietnam.
Not stopping there, from 2009 to 2018, Viettel continuously expanded its international market by
deploying operations in 3 continents and 10 different countries, including: Laos, Cambodia, East
Timor, Haiti. , Peru, Mozambique, Cameroon, Burundi, Tanzania and Myanmar.
After 10 years of going abroad, Viettel Global has achieved many remarkable results.
Specifically, in the five markets of Cambodia, Laos, Burundi, East Timor, and Mozambique,
Viettel Global quickly took the No. 1 position in terms of subscription market share, revenue and
profit. Eight out of 10 markets have made profits and there have been three payback markets:
Laos, Cambodia and East Timor.
The charter capital of Viettel Group (2020) reaches 13.3 billion USD, including Viettel, Metfone
(Viettel in Cambodia), Mytel (in Myanmar) and subsidiaries in 8 other countries. Viettel's
business results (2020) have many bright spots when reaching a total revenue of more than 10
billion USD, up 4.4% compared to 2019, exceeding 2.4% compared to the year plan. Revenue
from digital services grew by 27.7%, twice the average growth rate of the Information
Technology industry (14.7%) while building a complete foundation for leading digital services.
