You first! Which job looks most interesting to you?

The most interesting job for me is to be a doctor because I can save lives, cure diseases and make people
happy.
* Did you know?
Nearly three in four Americans are stressed at work. The top reason? Low pay.
salarios.
1. Look at the jobs in the photos and answer the questions.
1. Which job do you think is the most stressful?
I think the most stressful job is being a taxi driver, because there can be a lot of traffic, bad weather.
2. Which do you think is the least stressful? Why do you think so?
I think that the least stressful job is being a librarian because there is little noise in the library and ordering
the books I think is an easy job.
3. Give each job a stress score from 100 ( most stressful) to 1 ( least stressful). You can use decimals. (Dé a
decimales.)
I give being a doctor a score of 8Ö.5
2.-You are going to hear two people talking about some research they found online recently on the most
stressful jobs in the US. Listen and write down the jobs they mention and their scores.

the least stressful jobs, what else is down there? being a librarian is okay at 10.6 and hairstyle is that 7.5 is just a little
less stressful than being a medical laboratory technician at 9.0 ho! that's a surprise University Professor is 6.9. I would

You're still there, what are you working on now? I'm looking at a study comparing stress levels since 1983. ho! and
they were better or worse back then. but do you think it is better? Of course, according to a study from Carnegie
Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, there has been an increase in stress over time for all jobs, most
stressful jobs in 1983 are still the most stressful today Firefighters, pilots , top executives, announcers, policemen. And
what about the less stressful jobs, they were both the same, being a librarian or a hairdresser is still a good option if
you want to avoid stress, but the concern is that there is a higher level of stress among all groups. of people and work,
since there is that low pressure to earn money and there is no ability to turn off the information, everything is much
more stressful

safety of so many people can be extremely stressful, but the pay is good for that, it's a very well paid job. with good
benefits, it is absolutely exhausting, although we work 8 hour shifts, which can be morning or afternoon or even night,
night shifts are definitely the hardest, you usually feel exhausted the next day when you work overnight already
sometimes we only have about 8 hours. of rest between shifts, 8 hours is not enough unless you live nearby, you can't
get enough sleep and most of us live far away, by the time you get out of JFK for example you get home, eat
something and spend some time with your family there is not much time for anything else, I often sleep less than 4
hours and it is difficult to concentrate when you are so tired, and in my work you have to concentrate every minute if
you are not concentrating you are putting many lives at risk, when you are filing claims for passengers and crew on
and off the runways and around an airport, you must be very alert and awake, some people have fallen asleep at work
on the night shift, it is very rare, but they will fire you if they catch you asleep , it's not really dangerous unless you are
working alone and most of the time we are not.
