Procedures
Introductory 1. Prayer
Activity/Awareness 2. Checking of attendance.
3. Discussion: Concepts of ADDS and DHCP
Activity Using a LCD Projector Show to the class the following:
 Demonstrate how configure the ADDS
1. Create a new domain
2. ADDS Password
 Demonstrate hot to configure the DHCP
1. Network Connection settings
2. Parent Domain
3. Scope name, Starting and Ending IP Address and
gateway.

Analysis Identify the Domain, password, scope and IP Addresses to be used in

configuration.
Abstraction Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a client/server
protocol that automatically provides an Internet Protocol (IP) host
with its IP address and other related configuration information
such as the subnet mask and default gateway. RFCs 2131 and
2132 define DHCP as an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)
standard based on Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP), a protocol with
which DHCP shares many implementation details. DHCP allows
hosts to obtain necessary TCP/IP configuration information from
a DHCP server.

It is necessary to have an understanding of basic TCP/IP

concepts, including a working knowledge of subnets before you
can fully understand DHCP.
Application Divide the class into groups and allow them perform the following:

1. Configure ADDS
2. Configure DHCP
