The master of the ship must read whole of this manual and know characteristics of the ship before placing her into service. This manual contains operational limits of the ship in respect to draft, stability and hull strength together with necessary instructions and data for arranging cargoes, fuel oil, water ballast etc. in such a way that the ship can maintain sufficient stability and avoid creation of ‘unacceptable stress in the hull structure. Any ignorance of the operational limits and instructions in this ‘manual jeopardize the safety of people on board and the ship. 2. Stability must meet the required GoM curve in any operational conditions at sea. Operations according to this stability requirement do only mean that the ship complys with applicable intact and damage stability rules in this condition of the ship. In other words, operations with GoM not less than the required does not guarantee safety of the ship under contingencies or circumstances not assumed in the relevant rules and regulations. 3. In evaluation of stability, all hatches, doors and ventilation heads are assumed to be closed and secured ‘weathertight properly. Consequently, weathertightness of main hull and superstructure must be kept and ‘maintained all times at sea. No modification or removal can be allowed for door sill, hatch coamings, air pipes, ventitators and other piping system without authorization by the regulatory bodies. 4. The lightship characteristic used in this manual has been obtained from the deadweight measurement of the subject vessel performed on September 16, 2005 at Mitui Engineering & Sipbuilding Co., LTD. Chiba Works. The same VCG of M/V"NORDHVAL(Hull No.1565)", the leading vessel in this series has been applied since the vessel was not inclined. ‘Any change of lightship due to modifications carried out afterwards the deadweight measurement invalidates the lightship characteristic and deadweight values as well as related stability and strength figures in this manual. 5. The ship has been provided with a loading instrument "Loading Calculator” in which the classification approved program installed in order to help the master and officer in charge to enable them to ensure the ship's stability and bull stress level according to operational limits and instruction in this loading manual, 6. When carrying, grain cargoes in bulk, the ship’s intact stability must meet the additional special requirements according to Chapter VI “Carriage of Cargoes” of SOLAS, 1994 and “Intemational Grain Code (IMO Res. MSC.23(59))”. Refer to separate dwawing GRAIN LOADING CALCULATION. 1. Im addition to the standard loading conditions, this manual includes loading and unloading sequence example for standard homogeneous and alternate loading and also ballast exchange sequence at sea, ‘These sequence should be examined and approved, when required, before actual operation commence. $1-3 Ballast exchange should be completed while calm sea or very low waves. The master should be aware that bridge visibility forward will be reduced during these sequence. 8. When loading conditions, including loading/unloading procedure and ballast exchange sequence, cosiderably different from those presented in this Loading Manual are planned, it should be examined in separate manner and approved by the authorities in due course. S1-4 12 OPERATIONAL LIMITS AND RECOMMENDATIONS A._DRAFT AND TRIM Allowable maximum draft (ext.) of the ship is 12.575 m at summer which has been assigned by the classification society in compliance with International Convention on Load Line,1966. This draft is so called of TypeB ship. Fore draft (ext.) must be not less than 3.48 m in rough seas in order to avoid possible slamming load against forward bottom of hull in ballast or light loaded condition. The master should pay attentions also on the ship's course and speed as well as ship's fore draft to avoid such load in rough sea “The ship’s design proved that unvisible distance from bow end is not more than required 2.0 x Loa (abt. 380 m) in all conditions presented in this manual. Air draft to top of hatch cover is defined about 20.65 m minus ship’s draft at location under consideration. Even keel or slighily trim by the stem is recommended on ocean going voyage. The aft draft is recommended not to be less than approximately 6.50 m(1/D=55%) in view of proper propelier immersion B. INTACT AND DAMAGE STABILITY Minimum intact stability requirement by IMO Res.A749(18),Chapter 3.1 and 3.2 must be applied for any loading conditions at sea. In addition, the ship must comply with requirement of Part B-1"Subdivision and Damage Stability of Cargo Ship" in Chapter II-1 of Amendments to SOLAS 1974. Also IMO Res. A749 (18) Chapter 4.1 must be applied when on deck lumber are being carried. The stability should be checked in term of GM. A chart of Required GM has been provided as shown on page $1-8 complying with abovementioned applicable stability requirements. When the GM is within zone of “sufficient” in this diagram, the ship can satisfy all relevant stability requirements. In any stage of sea going conditions including ballasting and deballasting operation , the calculated GM after correction for free surface must be not less than the required. C. OVERALL HULL STRENGTH Bending moment and shear force must be less than their permissible values which have been approved by the classification for both sea-going and harbor condition as shown on page $1-9. In any loading conditions, ‘even at any stage of loading /unloading at pier, bending moment and shear force should be checked and ascertained to be less than their corresponding permissible values. In jumping load/alternate load pattem like those in this manual, shearing force may be conected for BHD effect if shearing force excess the allowable value. It is not to allow to excess the permissible shearing force after BHD correction. No.3 cargo hold used as a ballast tank in the heavy ballast condition is to be filled up with 100% water ballast. 81-5 D._INNER BOTTOM DESIGN PRESSURE AND MAX LOAD IN EACH HOLD Inner bottom uniform load in each hold are designed as below. These are the maximum load allowed in designed load conditions. No concentrated load is assumed. ‘Actual load limits relates with draft and should be referred to item G of this section for control of cargo load at practical load atrangement in each hold Designed $.G. _For Homogeneous For Alternate Uniform Load Homo./ Alt. The specification of hot coils: 2 tiers (1.25m_ long) x 25 tonnes each on 3 lines dunnage. ‘The recommended maximum unladen weight of grabs is 18 tonnes. E. ALLOWABLE MAXIMUM LOADS ON DECK AT SIDE and ON HATCH COVERS Upper deck at side is designed to be capable of a maximum load of 3.70 t/m’. Cargo loading on hatch covers is not considered, S16 F. LOADING AND BALLASTING Ballasting to No.3 Hold No3 Hold is designed and outfitted for use as water ballast filling hold in ballasted condition. No other holds can be used with water ballast in sea going condition. ‘When the No3 Hold is used for dry cargoes (e.g. coal), watertight cover of bilge wells in this hold should bbe removed and ballast sumps in this hold should be closed with watertight cover. When the No3 Hold is used for ballast water filling hold, watertight cover of ballast sumps in this hold should be removed and bilge wells in this hold should be closed with the watertight cover. Rose box (strainer) for ballast sumps should be fitted properly Air vent hatches located on the side of hatch covers must be opened before ballasting or deballasting starts, These hatches should be kept open while the hold is being ballasted or deballasted. should be noted that ballasting or deballasting operation of No.3 Hold must be carried out when sea is calm. No.3 Hold must be Kept filled up to top of hatch coaming whenever used as ballast filling hold in sea going condition. Loading and Unloading Sequence Secton 5 presents typical example of loading and unloading sequence of full load homogencous and altemate conditions as a guidance. When actual loading/unloading conditions, ie. cargo weight, draft, ballast distributions, loading/unloading rate, etc. differ from this example, the master should prepare the sequence of loading/unloading in the form presented in Sec 5-4 taking also account of bending moment and shear force of hull structural and hold bottom stress. Limit of bending moment and shear force and load on double bottom in Harbor can be applicable during loading/unloading operations. Ballast Exchange Sequence ‘Where the ballast warter in tank is required to exchange completely at sea before entering territorial waters of the calling port, procedure of ballast exchange should be studied well in advance since weahter and sea condition may prevent from doing ballast/deballast operation in frechand manner. It goes without saying that stability and hull strength requirements at sea_must be applied even while such operations are undertaken. ‘Typical procedure for ballast exchange sequence at sea in Normal Ballast Condition are presented in Sec. 6 as an example. At every step of ballasting/deballasting operation, stability and strength reuirement are satisfied in this example. $17 Ballasting Pump Capacity Two @Q) sets of 600m'Mhr (Total 1,200m'fhr) ballast pumps are provided. When scheduling loading/unloading, the ballasting pump capacity should be taken into consideration properly in addition to the loader/unloader rate. G._ALLOWABLE MAX and MIN. REQUIRED CARGO LOAD in HOLD ‘The allowable maximum load and minimum required cargo load in each hold depends on the draft at mid-hold. The diagrams on pages S1-10 to 1-14 show cargo load limits for individual ‘hold. ‘These diagrams should be applied to each hold in homogeneous load and jumping / altemnete load like the standard Joad conditions presented in SECTION 4. ‘The diagrams are given for two operating modes: sea going and in harbour condition ‘When two (2) adjacent holds are both loaded or both empty, the cargo load total in the two (2) holds has resiricted depending on the middle draft of the two holds. The diagrams on pages S1-15 to S1-18 show allowable maximum and minimum required cargo load of two (2) holds in same manner as those for individual hold case. It is unnecessary to check by these diagrams if the loading condition is similar to the standard ones in this manual and individual hold has been checked according to diagrams on page S1-10 to sila. In case of cargo loading pattern are different from standard loading conditions, the allowable maximum and minimum required cargo load should be examined separately. ‘These cargo load limits can be checked by also the authorized loading calculater on board 13.0 120 11.0 100 90 80 79 60 50 40 30 20 10 REQUIRED GoM CURVE ‘SUFFICIENT STABILITY INTACT STABILITY 00 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 GoM _(m Note: O indicate point of standard loading conditions in Section 4. 80 90 10.0 S18 $1-9 ALLOWABLE MAXIMUM STILL WATER SHEAR FORCE SEA-GOING IN HARBOR FLOODED (oy) am (ty FR.NO. + : + : + : 31 4,960 4390 5,670 5,630 5240 5,190 6 5870 5,760 7,020 6,960 6,330 6240 99 6,100 6,100 7,010 -7/010 6,460 6460 133 7350 -7380 8,360 8370 7,760 -7,780 167 6510 6,630 7,820 -7,880 7,030 -7,130 201 5,890 5,930 6270 -6,280 6,040 -6,070 ALLOWABLE MAXIMUM STILL WATER BENDING MOMENT SEA-GOING IN HARBOR” FLOODED (Pm) (-m) (tm) FRNO. | Hogging | Sagging Hogging Sagging | Hogging | Sagging 31 90,100 91,300 115,600 -118,100 100,800 112,500 48 138,000 -138,000 184,800 -188,700 160,100 -178,800 65 138,000 -138,000 220,000 -224,000 172,000 195,000 82 138,000 -138,000 220,000 -224,000 172,000 -195,000 99 138,000 | -138,000 | 220,000 | -224,000 | 172,000 | -195,000 116 138,000 | -138,000 | 220000 | -224,000 | 172,000 | _-195,000 133 138,000 | -138,000 | 220,000 | -224,000 | 172,000 | -195,000 150 138,000 | -138,000 | 220,000 | -224000 | 172,900 | _-195,000 167 138,000 _| -138,000 198,500 | 202,600 | 169,900 | -190,100 184 122,800 | -124,700 152,500 | -155,900 | 135,400 | -150,800 201 53,900 | -$4,900 64,000 -65,500 58,200 -64,600 Note; 1. “In Harbor” are applicable only while Loading /Unloading at pier, shifting in port in low waves. 2. When the calculated GoM locates in sufficient stability area ie. GoM is not less than the required minithum, the ship complies with the said criteria in this condition. It is to be noted that even in any stage of ballasting and deballasting operation at sea, this limiting GM must be complied. Procedure for checking stability with required GoM chart 1) Compute the displacement, draft and GoM. in accordance with method described in Sec 2-2 to 24, GoM includes correction for free surface of liquid in tanks. In operation of ballasting /deballasting, the maximum free surface of the subject tank(s) must be taken into consideration. 2) Read down the required GoM at this draft in the chart. 3) Ifthe calculated GoM is less than required GoM, the ship condition does not comply with stability reuirement. Then loading arrangement must be changed so as to achieve at least the minimum required GoM. INSTRUCTION ON HULL STRESS EXAMINATION In the stage of planning of loading arrangement, loading/unloading procedure and ballast exchange sequence, it is necessary to check hull stractural stress level namely overall strength by bending moment and shear force and hull local strength by cargo hold load limits, according to the method described in this Sec. 3 and confirm that those values are within their limits. ‘When a cargo loading and ballast arrangement deviates from the a) standard loading conditions (SEC. 4) b) loading and unloading procedure(SEC. 5) ©) ballast exchange sequence( SEC. 6) which are introduced in this Loading manual, calculate still water bending moment and shear forces according to the way mentioned in this section in addition to the chek of cargo load in each hold. The loading and ballasting should be so arranged that bending moment and shear forces in still water and cargo load in each hold are within their limits shown in the Sec 1-2. In this case, no unacceptable stress will be created in the ship's structure even in waves of assumed degree. ‘The principle of simplified bending moment and shear force calculation method are detailed in Sec 3-2 and Sec 3-3 ‘Method to check cargo load in cach hold are described in Sec 3-4. ‘The followings are general procedure for checking hull stress level: (See also Flow Chait of Loading Arrangement on next page) 1) Assume the cargo oil, F.O., F-W. and ballast water in each tank and put them appropriately into calculation form. 2) Figure out BM and SF by the instructions in the calculation form. 3) Check if the computed BM. and S.F. at all specified calculating positions are within their limits. 4) If calculated shear Force excess the allowable maximum in partial foading/jumping loading or heavy ballast condition, make transverse BHD correction for shear force. 5) If any calculated B.M. or S.F., after correction if necessary, exceed their maximum allowable, rearrange the cargoes and/or ballast. 6) Check Max. allowed and Min. required cargo load in each hold. $3- 3 Flow chart of loading arrangement procedure START. In this simplified longitudinal and shearing force calculation method, their value at specific points (read out points) of ship are defined as follows. ZW = The first integral (summation)of deadweight from fore end of the ship to each specific point. SS = The first integral (summation)of light ship weight and buoyancy from fore end of the ship to each specific point EM = The second integral (summation)of deadweight from fore end of the ship to each specific point ie. first moment of deadweight about the specific point SB = The second integral (ummation)of light ship weight and buoyancy from fore end of the ship to each specific point ie. the first moment of light ship weight and buoyancy about the specific point. ‘Then the shearing force (Fs) and bending moment (Ms) at still water are given by: Sagging Moment Hogging Moment In this simplified method, SS and SB which do not dependent on the loading condition have been computed and tabulated for every one meter draft at each specific (read out) point of the ship as “LONGITUDINAL STRENGTH DATA” (2) Calculation procedure for Bending moment and Shearing force Refer to LONGITUDINAL STRENGTH DATA. and calculation form together with numerical example in Sec 3-5. Calculations according to the form are as follows: 1. Aft darft (DA) and trim Put aft draft(DA) and trim of the loading condition to be calculated. ‘Trim is negative when by the stern. $3-5 2. Base draft(DB) and difference( AD) Select the nearest but not less than DA as base draft(DB) on the table “LONGITUDINAL STRENGHTH DATA” Put the difference of DA and DB as AD. 3. Weight : Put in sum of loading weight in each compartment(tank/hold) divided by 1000. 4. Load(WI) ‘WI = Ratio x Weight(1/1000) 5. Moment(MI) MI = WIx MID.G 6. EWI, yMI ‘Summation of WI and MI from fore end to each specified point. 7.BB, SB Shearing force and bending moment due to light ship weight and buoyancy are computed as below. (2) Read Base Value(SF and BM) , Draft Crrection(CD) an d Trim Correction(CT) at DB for each specified point from the LONGITUDINAL STRENGTH DATA. (2) Put the Base Value into D. (3) Put the product CD and AD into @. (4) Put the product CT and Trim in meter into @. (5) Sum up@_ through @) and put it into SS and SB. 8.5W, 2M Shearing force and bending moment due to deadweight at each specified point are computed as below. (1) Input WI into yMI (2) Compute EM by formula: =W x (correction lever)- EMI (3) Fs can be obtained by formula: Fs=(SS_-W)x 1000 (4) Ms can be obtained by formula: Ms=(=M - SB) x 1000 83-6 3.3 CALCULATION OF BULKHEAD CORRECTION FOR SHEAR FORCE When shearing force calculated by the simplified method in this section exceed their limits, the conventional shear force can be corrected for the direct transmission of forces from the double bottom to the transverse bulkheads. ‘The shear force transmitted directly to one transverse bulkhead from the hold in question may be expressed as follows: : AQs= Cp (Pat ZKxPw)- Cats Py = Cargo or ballast in t for the hold in question. Py = Bunker or ballast in double bottomtank (P and S) situated below considered hold. Kx = Coefficient for each filled tank. Ty = Draft in m at the middle of hold. Cp. = Load correction factor. Cd_ = Buoyancy correction factor. The absolute A\Q-valuc is to be deducted from the peak-values of the conventional shear force curve, neverthless its sign in way of loaded hold between empty holds or empty hold between loaded holds as shown in figure below. For other loading conditions, add the Q-value with its sign to conventional shear force value. For practical purposes Cp and Cd may be taken as constants independent of cargo filling height and draft respectively. Refer to the calculation form and numerical example in Sec. 3-5. CONVENTIONAL ‘SHEAR FORCE [corrected SHEAR FORCE S$3-7 3.4 HOLD LOAD LIMIT CHECK Load in each hold has been restricted from aspect of local strength, separately from overall strength - Jongitudinal bending moment and shearing force. Double bottom structure may resist to pressure in a certain degree which corresponds to design load of this ship. The force acts to double bottom is defined as resultant of buoyancy and total load (cargo in hold and ballast water in double bottom) in this portion. ‘This means the double bottom structure has cargo load limitations, maximum allowed and minimum required, in relation to the draft. “The limitation of the load in hold(s) are shown in diagrams in Sec.1-2 . Limiting cuves against draft of hold(s) at its middle point are given to each one hold and two(2) adjacent holds for : ‘Two operating mode: At Sea going In Harbor ‘The diagrams should be used properly according to operating mode It should be noted that double bottom tanks are assumed to be empty in these diagrams. So that if the double bottom tank(s) contains ballast water, the cargo load limit in hold(s) should be adjusted in way as below. If double bottom tank(s) contain ballast water, corresponding hold “Max. Allowable Hold Load and Required Min. Hold Load ” should be reduced by the same weight. In other word, hold load to be checked should be increased by weight in the double bottom ballast water. Namely, Hold(s) Load = Actual cargo load + Ballast water in double bottom under the hold(s) It is to be noted that only double bottom tank(s) under inner bottom part are taken into account. No top side part nor hopper part to be considered. (See next page) Procedure for checking cargo load in hold using these diagrams are as follows: 1) Assume load arrangement and calculate darft and trim. (Longitudinal strength check should be done separately) 2) Calculate the mean draft “a” of each hold( Mid Hold darft) by the fomulae as below No.1 Hold di =da-0.875t No2 Hold d2=da-O.711t No.3 Hold 3 = da-0.546t No.4 Hold d4 = da -0.382t No.5 Hold d5 = da-0.2181 No1&2 Hold a2 No.2&3 Hold a3 No3&4 Hold 34 No.4&5 Hold 445 Where, “da” is aft draft in meter and ‘t” is trim in meter (+ for trim by the stern). $3-8 3) Read Allowable Max. and Required Min. load in each One hold at draft “d" above. 4) Read Allowable Max. and Required Min. load in adjacent Two holds at darit “d” above if both two holds are loaded or empty i.e. the two holds are similar in loading condition. 5) If double bottom tank(s) contain water ballast, its or a part of its weight should be assumed as hold Joad and added to the orresponding hold cargo load, 6) Confirm the load in hold(s), afetr added ballast water in double bottom if necessary, within Allowable Max and Required Min (Allowed Zone). If loading weight in hold(s) locates out side of allowed zone in the diagrams, change cargo load or adjust draft in proper way. $3-9 3.5 BLANK FORM AND NUMERICAL EXAMPLE Longitudinal Strength Data + Weight Calculation for Longitudinal Strength + Shearing Force and Bending Moment Calculation in Still Water + Bulkhead Correction of Shearing Force for Altemate Loading $3-10 %& * * — LONGITUDINAL STRENGTH DATA * ¥* * ‘C EAGH VALUE SHOWS ACTUAL. Drafis at mark of bow and stem require some correction to convert them at perpendiculars when ship is trimmed.(Refer to Sec.7-3 "CORRECTION TABLE FOR FORE AND AFT DRAFT") Propeller immersions (I/D) is expressed as follows. 1/D (%)=(dA -H)/D x 100 = (dA -3.20)/6.00 x 100 ‘Where. I: Vertical distance from shaft center line to water line at the propeller center line (an) D_ : diameter of propeller (m) H_: Vertical distance from bottom of keel to shaft center line at the propeller center line (m) dA: Aft draft (m) Note : When the value of 1/D is greater than fifty percent (50%), propeller tip is immersed. 5) Air Draft to Hatch Cover Top ‘Top of the hatch cover, No.1 through 5, is about 20.65 m from bottom of keel at center line of the ship while hatch cover is closed. Air draft is defined as 20.65m minus ship's draft at point under consideration. S4- 6 ©) Visibility from Navigation Bridge In calculation of visibility (visible distance from bow) from navigation bridge: (Refere to SEC.7-6) Conning Position: 23.89m from AP (0.75m from bridge front) 32.65m above base line (1.80m above navigat Obstacle position: Bowchock 186.79m from AP 22.15m above base. Limit of invisible distance by regulation: 2.0 x Loa (overall length) from bow(=380m) S4- 7 43 DESCRIPTION OF STANDARD LOADING CONDITIONS ‘The following loading patterns are presented as standard loading conditions.
