I CAN COOK VERY WELL

VOCABULARY – ABILITIES AND SPORTS


dive = a face scufundari. I never dive into the swimming pool.
sing = a canta: My dad always sings in the shower.
cook = a gati: Mum and I sometimes cook pizza on Saturdays.
walk 10 km = a merge 10 km: The children walk 10 km to school every day.
surf = a face surf
ride a horse = a calari un cal: My cousin has got a horse and I sometimes ride it.
ice-skate = a patina
ski = a face ski: People ski in Scotland in winter.
play the guitar = a canta la chitarra: We play the guitar in our music lessons.
swim = a inota: We swim in the sea in the summer.
speak Spanish = a vorbi spaniola: Carmen speaks Spanish with her grandma.

GRAMMAR – CAN/ CAN’T

 Verbul “CAN” (a putea) arata o abilitate si are aceeasi forma la toate persoanele si
intotdeauna este urmat de un alt verb (verbul de baza)

Martin can speak Spanish. Susy can’t ride a horse.


We can play the piano. I can’t eat spaghetti!
I can sing very well. I can’t cook.
The boys can run very fast. My grandparents can’t walk very fast.
