The Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst will form part of the Capital Markets team for Brookfield Renewable’s

North American Platform. With $4.77 billion of subsidiary borrowings in North America, a key element of Brookfield
Renewable’s financing strategy is to raise the majority of its debt in the form of asset-specific, non-recourse
borrowings at our subsidiaries on an investment grade basis. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Lender Relations, the
incumbent will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and delivering compliance documents to fulfill contractual
requirements under the Company’s debt and joint venture agreements. 

Responsibilities

 Work with the Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Project Finance and Operations to assemble and
deliver compliance and reporting documents to meet the requirements of lenders and joint venture partners;
 Analyze the assets’ financial statements and operating reports for accuracy and completeness before
submission to lenders and joint venture partners;
 Monitor ongoing compliance under our debt agreements and proactively highlight potential gaps versus
obligations;
 Forecast the eligibility of cash distributions and resolve/minimize restricted cash situations;
 Develop and maintain working relationships with the lenders by serving as their primary point of contact
 Participate in the drafting of new loan documentation to ensure future compliance;
 Build and maintain the reporting calendars for lender compliance.

Requirements

 Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail;


 Able to meet multiple objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment;
 Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative;
 Excellent written and oral communications skills in English;
 High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders;
 Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint;
 Able to travel (lender meetings and site visits).

Qualifications

 A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience;


 Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance plus a recognized professional designation (CA, CFA, CMA
or CGA);
 Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is considered an asset;
 Familiarity with loan agreements is considered an asset.
