With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcome:

- Evaluate a couple of short stories by means of a differentiated analysis.

The activity consists of:

Step 1: Preparation

- Go to the Learning Environment and check the following Course Contents and
Bibliographic References in Unit 2 - A Look into Literature:

- Attend the second web conference of the course or watch the recording to
make a summary to be posted in the forum.

Step 2: Choosing

- From eBook A Small Collection of American Short Stories in Unit 2, choose two
out of the ten short stories and post the titles in the forum, so that no short
stories are repeated among students.

Step 3: Annotated Bibliography

- Read your two chosen American short stories and write the Annotated
Bibliography of each one. The citation must be done in APA and summary and
annotation can’t exceed the 300 words. Post it in the forum at least three days
prior to the due date. Comment on your e-mates to improve what has been
written and learn about each one of the provided readings.

Step 4: Comments

- After you have posted your two annotated bibliographies, respond to all of your
classmates’ annotated bibliographies. Base your responses around the key
concepts for responding to the work of others engaging with your colleagues’
ideas.

Step 5: Delivery

- Send to the Evaluation Environment a PDF file with all Annotated


Bibliographies, Step 4 and a screenshot of your web conference participation
and/or summary published in the forum.

- Verify the date of the Second Web Conference so that you can plan your
participation accordingly.
- Verify your tutors’ synchronous attention by Skype.

- Go to the discussion forum for the task and actively participate with your
collaborative group.
- Give feedback to your e-mates.
