Firearm Law
Guiding gun control legislation in the United States includes the National
Firearms Act of 1934,125 the Gun Control Act 1968126 as amended125 and
the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act 1993.76 125 This is Federal
legislation only, each US state and territory enacts its own gun law

In the United States, private possession of handguns (pistols and
revolvers) is permitted without a licence in almost all jurisdictions131 76
