So many great choices are out there for the concealed carrier! We fought, argued, debated,
and cussed but finally we narrowed it down to 20 concealed carry firearms that make the
honor roll!
We are pleased to present the 2015 Edition of the Top 20 Most Popular Concealed Carry
Firearms!
If you find yours notably absent, it’s because we’re human. But you should let us know why
yours should be included in the comments below!
And these are in no particular ranking order – simply 20 of the most popular concealed carry
handguns we’ve run across.
Released in 1994, the Glock 26 has become the most highly sought after concealed carry
firearm on the market. In a pinch, it can accept larger Glock magazines and it can be altered
easily to allow for right-handed/left-handed operators.
Did you know? In the television series, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Episode 15 featured a
murder weapon that alternated between a Glock 19, Glock 17, and a Glock 26 throughout
the episode (source: IMDb (http://www.tv.com/shows/law-and-order-los-angeles/trivia/)).

We’ve reviewed this firearm extensively in a prior article you can find here (http://concealed-
nation.org/2015/08/firearm-review-smith-wesson-mp-shield-40-sw/). Our opinion? It’s a
good, reliable and cheap single stack concealed carry pistol. Chambered in either 9mm or
.40 S&W, people have largely taken to it like a duck to water.
Did You Know? Agent Coulson from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actually carries an M&P Shield.

The P220 Carry is a much more concealable version of the famous Sig Sauer P220. All the
capabilities of an SA/DA full-size combat pistol packaged perfectly for the concealed carrier.
Added bonus? It’s chambered in .45 ACP. The big alternative (though not the only one) is
the Sig Sauer P250. Chambered in 9mm, it provides DAO operation perfect for fast reaction
times.
Did You Know? Sig Sauer was first featured in cinema in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985;
source – IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089880/trivia)).

The Ruger Lightweight Carry Pistol was designed from the ground up to be an extremely reli-
able sub-compact centerfire pistol. At the price point that the base model is available at – it’s
accessible to anyone in the market for a good, concealable pistol.

Kahr CM9/PM9
A Kahr CM9 can fit nearly anywhere on the concealed carrier. It truly is built for everyday
carry. While the PM9 features some largely aesthetic improvements over the CM9, the Kahr
CM9093 is truly a fine, well put-together DAO pistol with an overall length of less than 5.5″.

It sort of looks like that gun Harrison Ford’s character carried in Bladerunner. Well, Beretta is
bringing geek sci-fi to a whole new level with the Px4 Storm Compact. Its modular design al-
lows the user to configure the pistol to suit his carry style best. Best of all, it’s one of the few
pistols that can be chambered in .40 S&W and actually perform well with it.
Did You Know? In Live Free or Die Hard (2007), McClane ditches his iconic Beretta 92 for
the Px4 Storm.

Equipped standard with either five rounds of .38 Special, .357 Magnum, or even 9x19mm
Luger, this double-action revolver is ideal for single hand grip. Whether it’s an everyday carry
or an emergency back-up – this revolver was designed for precision, reliability, and force.

James England is a Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has served as a defense
contractor in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is currently an advocate
for veterans and constitutional carry in the State of New Hampshire. His daily concealed carry
handgun is a Glock 36 in a Lenwood Holsters Specter IWB.
Jim Burke
You forgot the Colt Defender .45 its on everyone else’s top 10 and you have a crappy
brick like a Rock island a d forgot the Colt? Shame on you!
James England
I wouldn’t consider the Springfield 1911 .45 Compact a brick ;p.
rlewis581
Love my Glock 21 .45 x 14. Will get the job done. 1st one I’ve ever carried. Took a cou-
ple of weeks to get used to it. Now it’s like it’s not even there. Alien gear IBW Cloak 2
Law_dog1
Alien gear is very good, I use Gold dot ammo and carry a Glock 22. If the cops
trust in the Glock; so can you.

I’m very happy with my M&P Shield. I actually prefer shooting the M&P Compact as
there is naturally more to grip, but I’m tall and slender so the single stack is easier for
me to carry concealed.
Jake
What happened to the S&W air weights or any other J frame?
David Silverstein
I’m not a S&W fan, but I like the like J frame size guns. I’ve got an old H&R Model
04 that I love. 6 shot chambered in .32 S&W Long. It’s getting hard to find ammo
for it and it is really weak ammo, but I love the feel of it.
MerleApAmber
Agree, if I’m down to minimal carry/protection due to whatever reason, an S&W J
frame with a shrouded hammer is prime time. Scandium alloy air-weight and
we’re speaking no load fast mover. Belly wrap, anklet, OWB/IWB, or in a book.
Andy
The firearm on Bladerunner was a modified Charter Arms Bullbog revolver in .44 Spe-
cial . There are still a lot of folks who carry revolvers daily , I am one of them , also .40
caliber handguns are being changed out in a lot of law enforcement departments na-
tionwide and being replaced by the 9mm , due to the advances in bullet designs .
David Silverstein
This is a pretty good list for people who legally concealed carry. For the rest, I imagine
the Hi-Point C9 and the Cobra Patriot are near the top of the list.
John
There ya go Sparky!! As long as you have someone to look down your nose at!!!
David Silverstein
Just call it like I see it.
NeonCat222
I’m pretty much on a budget and don’t have a CCP but I plan on getting certified and
really like the S&W Bodyguard 380. Any thoughts on that? The laser sight seems to be
a plus.
hoosierchip
Had one – first shot out of the barrel and the slide went forward off the end of the
barrel following the shot. 6 weeks later S&W shipped it back “repaired”. Never
been quite right. Wont ever own another S&W. They didn’t even pack it right for
shipment back. Just loose in the box.
hoosierchip
The Ruger LCR380 with Lasermax is my next CCW pistol. Every owner I’ve
chatted with loves theirs. Local shops cant keep them in stock.
A.D. Hopkins
How do they know these are the most popular? Jake points out that no J frames are
represented. Their absence makes me wonder if the people coming up with this list just
counted new sales, or used some other inappropriate method that ignored hundreds of
thousands of older pistols that remain in use.
Ric Yrabedra
Where was the Kimber Ultra Raptor?
Nate
My daily carry is my Sig P220 45 cal., stopping power at it’s best.
MerleApAmber
Concur. Excellent in Carry version and DAO if you’re not law enforcement or spe-
cial ops.
Law_dog1
That is nice gun!
Law_dog1
ME; Glock 19, 3 mags, Stinger Flashlight, and a SWAT Band knife. You cannot go
wrong with any Glock! And the Compact Kimber Is a great gun to carry CCW too.
John
A garbage can

Idiot
spaceghost 102
agreed Glock sucks
RealAmerican
I always use a Hidden Ally holsters. They are secure, can be worn without a jacket, and
Geir Karlsen
The trigger on the S&W Shield is terrible.
Craig Bryant
I’m really happy with my Glock 43, with a molded IWB holster. Very comfortable, and so
far no one has asked if I’m carrying.
David F Mayer
I want a LIGHTWEIGHT gun with adequate power. Hence, I favor the .25 cal HOT am-
munition that is nearly as powerful as standard .38 with far less weight and recoil.
When you are carrying something 24*7, every ounce counts. Also, many women will
have trouble with the recoil of the lightweight larger bore pistols, whereas the .25 has
very modest recoil. For clarity, I emphasize that I am speaking here of HOT .25 cal
rounds such as MagSafe. Here are the stats:
Even the very small .22 WMR has nearly as much power as the standard .380 ACP.
spaceghost 102
Just use a 9mm in 124gr defense ammo plenty of power
spaceghost 102
the m&p shield and the Beretta px4 storm are the best in this review.I’m tired of seeing
those crappy glocks lol i know they are like by a lot of people but they suck.Law en-
forcement only uses them cause they get them cheap..
Tyler
Does anyone have any experience with using those Urban Carry holsters? The
YouTube ads suggest they’re awesome and a few reviews seem to agree. I just don’t
know how well it would work with a Glock 21sf.
Law_dog1
jazzy663
Not surprising the Glock is #1 on the list.
Barackoli_ObokChoy
I carry a full size or compact for CC. I don’t care whether it prints or not. Mouse guns
with less ammo is just playing to people’s emotions. I am fully within my rights to carry
a large pistol whether it makes people uncomfortable or not. PERIOD.
