Notepad tool opens notepad and associates the created document to the selected part. This document s intended to contain information about the part not instructions. Picture and sound tool will associate a picture or sound file to the selected part. Date and time program was created Date and time of last modification > Associations within MCOSMOS Part Manager. Part Program — indicates whether the part program has been written. CAD File - indicates if there is a CAD file associated with the part program. Task — indicates there are measurement tasks associated with the part program The most common type of task is a measurement that will be taken using a hand tool such as a micrometer or caliper before, during or after program execution. ‘SPC data collection indicates the part program has evaluations with Statistical Process Control specified for data collection (requires Measurelink). Notepad file — indicates there is a text file with notes about the part or part program Picture or Sound ~ indicates that a picture and/or sound file associated with the part program. Customer, Jobit... To customize your Head Data fields select Settings. Under Settings Select Head data to edit head data fields. To customize a field, select field, double click on that field or select change. Up to 250 head data fields can be defined. Protocols can be customized to use specific head data fields. Create an abbreviation for the field name / ttle > Create an ID for the field name / title > Define field length for the input. Use the pull down to select an input type / method, To request this field be populated in the part program select input of head data before printing > Upon completion select OK in the Change entry dialog. > Repeat for each head field as required. > Select New for additional head data fields > Select OK in the Editor for head data dialog upon completion. The ? mark and * can be used as wildcards. The ? replaces a single character at the indicated position. The * replaces the rest of the characters. Mark partis case sensitive. The user can select the directory to change to from a drop down list The user can also search a drive for all directories which contain parts. Search adds alll located directories to the pull down list. Additionally new part directories may be created using the browser .. Set full access rights allows all users access to the selected directory. Select OK. Your selected directory will replace the active directory. Create new folder. Name new folder as the desired directory (Parts List). Select desired folder as new parts list by double click. Select OK. Pictures can be in: bmp, jpg, emf and wmf file formats. Bmp is preferred Sounds files are in wav file format.
