Theme: Humanity involved in Profession

Ravi, a child of daily wage worker, recently participated in a Mathematical Olympiad. Sunita, a child of
an IAS officer also participated in the same Olympiad.

Ravi was competing for the first prize which was a cash prize of Rs 30000 and Sunita for the pride, as her
father was the chief guest and she wanted to receive the prize.

Both kept on practicing hard for the examination but were also among the top 15 achievers of that list.

On the examination day, Ravi having helped his father late at night, woke up late and was cycling to the
examination centre when the chain of the cycle ran off and he was stuck.

Mean while, Sunita was going to the centre in the car with her father and offered a lift.

As a result, Ravi easily got to write the paper. The Mathematical Olympiad was won by Ravi and the
second place was secured by Sunita.

Moral of the story: Professional ethics are an important aspect of professional learning. Because of the
fact that loss might be involved in a particular act doesn’t mean that humanity should be
compromised.
