The Fibonacci Sequence

Mathematics is everywhere as shown by patterns and occurences that exist in


nature, our world, and in our life.

An intriguing pattern is the sequence of numbers 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, …


popularly known as the Fibonacci Sequence. Doing some serious readings about
this sequence, we see its occurences and applications.

Origin of Fibonacci Sequence: THE RABBIT PROBLEM/EXPERIMENT

Leonardo Fibonacci 1175-1250.

Fibonacci asked “how many rabbits a single pair can produce after a year” with
this highly unbelievable breeding process (the rabbits never die; every month each
adult pair produces a mixed pair of baby rabbits who become adult the next month).
