Mathematics for Humankind

We might have our own unpleasant experiences with mathematics. Nonetheless, we cannot deny
that mathematics is useful and that there is beauty in mathematics.
We have seen that mathematics can be used to help us unravel the mysteries and puzzles of nature.
It may be regarded as a useful way to think about nature.
Some uses of mathematics for humankind, therefore, are as follows:
1. It helps us organize patterns and regularities in the world. It helps us predict the behavior of
nature and phenomena in the world. It helps control nature and occurrences in the world for
our own end.
2. It provides tools for calculation. It provides new question to think about.

The fact that different people use different mathematics at different times, for different purposes,
using different tools, with different attitudes, will lead us to the conclusion that mathematics is important
to humankind because it puts order in disorder, it helps us become better persons, and it helps make the
world a better place to live.
