CONFLICT OVER PRIVACY IN THE WORK PLACE

QUESTION _01
Companies should have a right to track employees through company
smartphones and monitor there personal Facebook and twitter accounts.
ANSWER: -
No! companies shouldn’t have any right to invade the privacy of their employee.
If the company wants to know that is their employee is really spending there
working hours doing office work then they should give them tasks for a certain
time period and then check it that if it is done or not and give them rewards and
punishments. Make sure you are not burdening your employee because much
pressure and burden often leads to employee burnout. Make the office
atmosphere very light and friendly.
QUESTION_02
Employee should be able to maintain their personal privacy and not be tracked
through company smartphone on their Facebook and twitter accounts.
ANSWER: -
Yes! I agree with the statement. Employee have a right to maintain his personal
privacy, because the work life and the personal life shouldn’t be connected with
each other. These are two separate things. Ok lets suppose if the company knows
his personal life then there is no chance that they will not bring up to him his
personal matters and that will make him or her uncomfortable and if they
become uncomfortable they will definitely not be able to work properly, that’s
why privacy is very important and if employee knows that company will surely
invade his personal privacy or tracked him by his Facebook and twitter account
they first of all his should know the laws regarding employee privacy rights and
the second of all he should be mature and don’t post anything risky on social
media.
