My Sister`s Keeper

The lives of Sara (Cameron Diaz) and Brian Fitzgerald (Jason Patric) change radically when their two-
year-old daughter Kate (Vassilieva) is diagnosed with leukemia. Sara immediately abandons her legal
career to dedicate herself entirely to caring for her daughter. His only hope to save her is to have
another child. Genetic engineering is a field that still raises very thorny moral questions, but for the
Fitzgeralds it is the only option. This is how Anne (Breslin) is born, and a much deeper relationship
is established between her and Kate than normal, especially since both will have to undergo various
medical treatments and will share long stays in the hospital.
