Interviewer: Good afternoon, my name is Angela. Nice to meet you.

Interviewee: Hello I’m Angela. Nice to meet you too.

Interviewer: We would like to ask you a few questions.

Interviewee: All right! I’ll do my best to answer them.

Interviewer: Can you tell us about your previous work experience, please.

Interviewee: At the moment I’m unemployed, but my last job was 6 months ago. I
was working as a bioinformatics intern and I worked for 2 years and a half.

Interviewer: what skills would have you got that help you in this job?

Interviewee: I am very efficient to solve problems quickly or to see the best way to
find a solution. Also I am very patience with people and I learn things very quickly.

Interviewer: why do you want this job?

Interviewee: I want this job because it will provide me with more knowledge and
abilities with microorganisms and to know more about the benefits they have and
that we could use to our benefit. Also because I’ve read on your website and all the
things that your company has accomplished are absolutely great.

Interviewer: do you work well in a team?

Interviewee: Yes, I really like working with people because thanks to my last job
has allowed me to develop my ability to communicate clearly with others and talk
about the problems with calm.

Interviewer: what’s more important to you, money or experience and why?

Interviewee: In my opinion the experience has always mattered more to me than


the money, because with that you can grow more as a person and learn more
about the different things that life can put you in.

Interviewer: What are your main weaknesses?

Interviewee: I have a very strong attention to detail so I’ve learned to make my


perfectionism work to my advantage.

Interviewer: how do you see yourself in 5 years?

Interviewee: I would like to continue developing my knowledge and skills of this


work and to increase the investigations about the microorganisms in this company.
Interviewer: do you work well with pressure?

Interviewee: Yes, that helps me to stay motivated and productive while doing work.

Interviewer: why do you think we should select you?

Interviewee: Based on the information that I’ve research and you’ve said, your
company is looking for someone who has the ability to work well independently or
with a team, also who has a great professional behavior and I consider that my
skills make me a great fit for the work and the company.

Interviewer: what has been your greatest professional achievement?

Interviewee: one of my greatest professional achievements has been that in my


last job I had the opportunity to work at the pair with one of the greatest
investigators in biotechnology, Rudolf Jaenisch and with him I learned a lot of
things that could help in this job.

Interviewer: how do you deal with the mistakes you make?

Interviewee: I always try to understand that is normal to make mistakes and learn
from them, so I can handle them very well.

Interviewer: when could you start?

Interviewee: I can start right away, if that’s convenient for you.

Interviewer: have you got any questions?

Interviewee: can you describe what my typical day would be like in this role?

Interviewer: Of course! We start to work here from 8 to 3 pm. You’ll be responsible


for overseeing a team as they progress on the investigations and helping them with
the information that they require. Also you’ll have your own investigations apart of
seen the teams as well.
