I’ll choose the character of Javert. His integrity as a man is

astounding. He was relentless and ruthless in doing what he felt was right,
and he was honest enough to admit it when he was in the wrong. He did not
lie to himself when he found himself in an irresolvable conflict between what
was right and the law. His legalist instincts and lack of empathy for offenders
of all kinds define his personality. He gets obsessed with the pursuit and
retribution of the protagonist Jean Valjean when he violates his parole in Les
Misérables.

As a community servant, it is just and right to serve in an honest way.

Serving rightfully, serving honestly and serving with all my heart is who I

am. I gave good service to public because that what makes me happy

without paying back. Way back when I was a child I always seek for what is

my potential, what I really want and what I can contribute in the

community. Reading a lot of articles about “How to become a good leader”, I

realized that a leader is not all about the position, the age, the experienced

and how famous you are because a leader is a person who have the

potential in dealing different people and as well as giving them good service.

As long as he/she can influence the community through his voice, he is

indeed a good leader. A great leader will encourage his/her members to use

their voice. He let their voice be heard by the community and that’s what I

am right now. I firmly believe that collaborative effort makes difference.

In addition I believe, being a public servant is serving with integrity,

doing what is right and what is good for the public. I am willing to fight what

is right even if it will cause me into trouble. I’m willing to risk my life

because that is what the right thing to do, not only as a public servant but

also a citizen in this country.
