Title : Sales Order Processing System

Client : B & D MFG., Inc.USA

Description

System monitors and handles daily sales-related business transactions: inquiries,

quotations, contracts and schedules agreements. It calculates various pricing components,
schedules periodic and milestone billings, performs credit limit checks, creates sales and
orders documents with confirmed proposed delivery dates. It also gives online status of sales
activities and generates various reports for sales analysis.

Responsibilities

• Extensively involved in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading from Source

to target systems using Informatica 8.1.
 • Created data mappings to extract data from different source files, transform the data
using Filter, Lookup, Update Strategy, Aggregator, Expression, Joiner
Transformations and then load into the Data Warehouse

Installation and Field Services (I&FS) is one of the important divisions of Travaini.
It manufactures the products like turbines, compressors etc. These products when sold are
covered by different types of warranties like full warranty, spare parts warranty and breakage
warranty. I&FS needed business performance metrics which could help them improve there
operations and make them efficient. This project was implemented to fulfill this objective.

Responsibilities

• Designed and Created Data validation and loading scripts for Oracle Data Warehouse
using Informatica ETL tool.

• Involved in designing the mappings.

• Created data monitored Batches and Sessions using Informatica Power Mart Server.
 • Created data mappings to extract data from different source files, transform the data
using Filters, Expressions and Stored Procedures then load to Oracle data warehouse.

• Preparation of low level design for the mappings created.

Kingfield Electronics is one of the leading distributor of electronic equipments and others
a major producer of specialty electronics products. This company is involved in manufacturing
and selling of Electrical and Communication Devices. This project involves the creation of a
data Warehouse for the sales reporting system. Data gathered from sources Oracle, Transferred
data from these sources to Oracle target. Data was Extracted, Transformed and Loaded using
Informatica.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the development and maintenance of database for data warehouse project.
• Designed the ETL processes using Informatica tool to lead data from File systems,
relational Tables into the oracle staging area.
• Developed mappings and sessions using Informatica power centre and work flow
manager for data loading.
• Created various transformations like Joiner, Aggregate, Expression, Filter, Update
Strategy, Sequence Generator, Router, Lookup, Stored Procedure, and Rank.
• Used Informatica work flow monitor to see the status of the executed sessions and using
the Session log we can see the information’s and errors.
