Where is it found

 Lead is found in a metal found in the earth crust. Lead is used in batteries  Lead
can combine with other chemicals to make different compounds. Lead is used
in the production of batteries, ammunition, and metal products (solder and
pipes). Because of health concerns, the use of lead in paints, ceramic products,
caulking, and pipe solder has been dramatically reduced . Lead can also be
found in air and water.

Ways that led enter the envroment

 Lead enter the atmosphere When lead is released into the air, it may be
transported long distances before it lands and stays on the ground.
 Once on the ground, lead can often stick to soil particles and gets in the soil.
 Lead is a endocrine disruptor because it can hurt children
How it hurt humans

 Children are more vulnerable to lead poisoning than adults because their nervous
system is still developing.  Children can catch cancer throught it because there
nevers is still fresh and haven’t developed yet. Adults may be exposed to lead
by eating and drinking food or water containing lead or from dishes or glasses
that contain lead. They may also breath lead dust by spending time in areas
where lead-based paint is deteriorating, and during renovation or repair work
that disturbs painted surfaces in older homes and buildings.  It will cause lung
cancer
Ways to keep the environment safe

 Use cold water to prepare foods and drinks
 Wash children toys
