When we talk about pets, we refer to those that have adapted to our way of
life, and that, the human being has domesticated to take care of them, food,
fur, dairy products, company, etc. Because in the same way that humans have
evolved in their way of living and surviving, animals have been domesticated
along with them. It should be noted that before this, these animals were wild
and lived by themselves in the wild, today many wild animals are being
domesticated in the same way, which opens debates but for others is not
something new. That animals have been domesticated by humans is nothing
new. Although this can often be seen as an abuse of control over the animal. to
talk about classifications it is also important to talk about the characteristics of
these animals. it is important to see how they have been classified over the
years due to their adaptation to the human habitat, some are sentimentalists,
others depend on man as they have lost their dependence on nature, others are
docile and friendly and so continue their characteristics. Having said this, to
begin to classify pets we must know their breed and origin, many of the first
animals that coexisted with man were wolves and wild cats, but we must not
leave behind the animals that were trained and domesticated by humans to
meet certain biological needs.
Farm animals and household pets are two of the main classifications of what
we could call pets, followed by companion animals, which could be guard
dogs, cats, marsupials, rabbits and even fish.

1st DRAFT
Domestic animals are those that have adapted to a common lifestyle with
humans, and in certain cases, one is dependent on the other and vice versa.
Throughout the centuries, humans have nurtured and evolved with wild
animals, whether it be in their feeding, lifestyle, housing, tolerating high
temperatures, etc. Domestic animals are those that have adapted to a common
lifestyle with humans, and in certain cases, one is dependent on the other and
vice versa. Over the course of time, humans have evolved and evolved with
wild animals in terms of food, lifestyle, housing, withstanding high
temperatures, etc. Our living environment has changed as well.
Although animals as pets are living beings like humans, they are
physiologically different from each other and from us. The most common
categorization is to divide them into rural and urban animals, but we could
also classify them according to their dependence on man and their non-
dependence.

Pets can also be farm animals, since they have been provided with food to
grow alongside humans, just as they have provided food for humans. Among
the most common farm pets are the horse, the sheep, the duck, the chicken, the
hen, the cow and so on. These animals have adapted to the presence of
humans, interacting with them.
City pets provide companionship to humans, and they are characterized by the
kinesthetic imitation they have shown, for example, a dog has been taught to
paw, or a cat has been taught to sleep on the bed, etc. These pets differ from
farm pets because humans are not primarily dependent on them.
Consequently, many of them are abandoned on the streets. In this category we
find dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, parrots, fish etc.
A final category is wild animals as pets. Although the first thing that comes to
mind when we think of pets are dogs and cats, the truth is that today there are
many people domesticating, snakes, pumas, monkeys, raccoons, marsupials,
etc. And although these types of animals have been domesticated by trainers
years ago, as in the case of the monkey, the truth is that there is a big
difference between the domesticated animal and the wild animal trying to be
domesticated. Since they could cause serious problems to the human being in
their coexistence although this one does not see it momentarily.
