CT CHEST(PLAIN):

TECHNIQUE: Axial sections of the chest were obtained from the thoracic inlet down
to the diaphragmatic domes without contrast. Thin axial, sagittal and coronal
reformats were then obtained.

Findings:
Diffuse illdefined ground glass opacities with crazy paving pattern and few
consolidations noted in bilateral lung fields predominently involving
bilateral lower lobes.
CT SEVERITY INDEX:
RIGHT UPPER LOBE:: 25-50%(3)
RIGHT MIDDLE LOBE:50-75%(4)
RIGHT LOWER LOBE: >75%(5)
LEFT UPPER LOBE: 50-75%(4)
LEFT LOWER LOBE:>75%(5)
The minor and major fissures are well delineated with no evidence of fissural
displacement.
The distribution of the bronchial structures within the lungs is normal.
Mediastinal contents including the trachea and its bifurcation its branches appear
normal.
No evidence of any mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
The cardiac size and configuration are within normal limits. No definite mass lesions
identified in the mediastinum / hilar regions.
The axillary and supraclavicular regions are normal.
The bones of the thoracic cage and the vertebrae do not reveal significant
abnormality.
Superficial soft tissues of the chest wall appear normal.
Upper abdomen is normal to the extent visualised.

Impression:
Diffuse illdefined ground glass opacities with crazy paving pattern and few
consolidations in bilateral lung fields predominently involving bilateral
lower lobes with CT severity index - 21/25 ( severe).
