What Do You Want To Be?

"Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don't wish it were
easier; wish you were better."-- Jim Rohn

This famous adage conveys the same message that of the motivational video, What Do You
Want To Be?. Everyone has his/her own dream in life. In our childhood days, the elders kept
on asking us, what do we want to be in the future? Some of us would say, a doctor, a teacher,
a nurse, a pilot, etc. But, during these times, we still did not know how difficult the road is in
achieving these goals.

Our parents, relatives, and friends often influence our choices in life and this includes our
career. Majority of them want us to take course in which we can earn more money. Being
practical is what they want. Do we also want what they want us to be? Nevertheless,
according to Tony Hsieh, "Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion." Certainly,
everyone has each goal that we want to achieve and yet, we are afraid to take the road. It is
because, we are used of doing things in easy way. But according to the video, “If you do what
is easy, then your life will be hard. But if you do what is hard, then life would be easy.” This
is definitely true. Many of us just want to do easy things. We do not want to engage ourselves
in doing challenging things. We do not realize that doing challenging things is a road of
achieving success. Always remember, success is 80% psychology and 20% mechanics.

Thus, if you have the will and the determination to realize your goal, then every point in the
journey would be worth-taking. Obstacles are just part of the ride to make you a better, a
stronger, and a wiser person so that in the long run, every thing you will encounter will be
just easy to take and solve. Always bear in mind, that in every difficult situation, always
believe in yourself. God will not put you in that situation if you cannot make it.

Lastly, always trust in yourself. Put in mind that all progress takes place outside the comfort
zone.
