Overseas Workers

With the prospect of progressing in life, many of our compatriots have to leave the
Philippines to venture abroad. In exchange for a much higher salary is the separation
from their loved ones, years on end. This is the story of the many who are scattered in
different countries the world over, enduring sadness and loneliness, in hope of a more
comfortable life upon returning home. I hope the hard work is not wasted as the money
sent will be used properly. We hope to see more and more of them invest as much as
they can so they don’t have to work for the rest of their lives. In a fantasy world, we will
see all of them make it but in reality only a handful do with the rest going back to square
one.
