ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

Environmental pollution is defined as changes in abiotic factors due to activities that exceed the
tolerance threshold of the biotic ecosystem. For example, the use of motorized vehicles or raw
material processing equipment sometimes does not comply with environmental standards. There are
two types of materials in pollution, namely: first is degradable, namely pollutants that can be
decomposed or can be reduced to a level acceptable to natural processes. Examples are human or
animal waste and plant waste. The second is Non-Degradable, namely pollutants that cannot be
broken down by the ability of natural processes themselves. For example mercury, lead, arsenic,
and others.
