A 50yr old lady was admitted to the hospital with c/o tightness in the chest, difficulty in
breathing, palpitation, difficulty in lying down. On examination HR 120/mt,crepitations on
auscultation was diagnosed as a case of acute pulmonary edema.

Outline the line of management?


Explain the mechanism of action of these drugs.
Mention the adverse effects of these drugs.
A 50 yr. old man was admitted to the hospital with signs and symptoms- rigidity, tremor,
hypokinesia,and salivation. He was clinically diagnosed to have parkinsonism.

Classify drugs used in the treatment of idiopathic parkinsonism


Explain the mechanism of action and adverse effects of Levodopa .
Name two drugs which induce parkinsonism and two drugs to treat that parkinsonism.

A 28 years old woman having two children wanted to follow a contraceptive method.
Patient was advised to take oral contraceptive pills. She is a known case of pulmonary
tuberculosis for which she is on Rifampicin 450mg, INH 300mg and ethambutol 300mg
per day.

evacuation of bowel and bladder.
