How to connect to RDP

For O365 E3 & P1 Users


Kindly complete “SOP For First Time Installation Of SSL-VPN” before following
below procedure.
Post connecting to VPN network, Type mstsc in Windows Search Bar, you will
get Remote Desktop Connection Option, click to open

When Remote Desktop Connection Window comes, Type WFH1.godrej.com


and click on show options
It will open below window

Go to Local Resources Tab and uncheck Printer


Again go to General Tab and click on SaveAs

You can save the same on your Local Desktop to quickly access the remote
every time.
You can open Desktop Icon created

If prompted for below window, you can select Remote Desktop Connection
and select option to Always use this app to open .rdp files and click Ok.
Select option Don’t ask me again for connections to this computer and click on
connect, if below windows prompts.

You can put your credentials once prompted


e.g. username : gnb\loginid
Password : ********
On below window also you can select, Don’t ask me again for connections to
this computer and proceed further by clicking Yes.

It will connect to Remote Machine and Your new profile will load on Remote
Machine, which may take few minutes for first time
You can access your mails and OneDrive (This is not applicable for O365 P1
Users) by opening google chrome and typing
“portal.office.com”
O365 P1 Users can use Online Excel, Word applications and O365 E3 users can
use Excel and Word applications on RDP machine using below process
You will be prompted for Sign in for the first time.

After Clicking on Sign In it will ask you to activate your Office,


You can activate office by putting your Email ID and Password.
Please Note:
1. No Files should be saved on RDP machine Locally, All data should be
saved on OneDrive or NAS Drive Only. Any Data Saved on RDP machine
locally will not be retrievable.
2. Please Sign out from RDP once your activities are completed or else it
will Sign out automatically if your session is idle for 30 Minutes.
Simply Click on Windows button and Click on Sign out
