LESSON PLAN: COUNTRIES AND NATIONALITIES 

Trainee Teachers:
Course : 6th grade.

Length of the class: 30 minutes.

Topic: Countries and nationalities. 

Skills to be developed: Reading, writing, speaking and listening

Teaching aids: Pictures, videos, etc.

Objectives: Introduce a new topic.

Introduce different countries and nationalities.

Aims: By the end of the lesson students will be able to recognize the nationalities as well
as the countries
They would be able to pronounce the nationalities and the vocabulary correctly. 

Grammar structure :

Nationalities: 3rd person singular (He is Argentinian, She is Spanish,

etc.).

Present simple.

Warming up:
I’ll work with two flashcards about two famous football players, (Messi and Neymar) and
ask to the class to raise their hands if they like Messi or Neymar

After this, I will stick on the board a big map about all the countries.Each country will be
represented by the colors of its flag.
Presentation: we are going to present the topic using a interactive video where people of
different nationalities will appear as examples of each country.

Repetition: After the presentation, there is a repetition part where it’s shown the
vocabulary for each nationality. The students only will have to repeat behind each dynamic
picture
