3. Expected Outcomes: Student will be able to identify, compare and transform different
types of temperatures, pressures and volumes in the different measurement systems (international
and english) for proper implementation in thermodynamic systems.
4. Goals/Objectives:
• Apply conversion unit procedures to different pressure, volume and temperature
measurements.
• Understand how to take measurements of pressure, volume and temperature to different
objects.
5. Activity/Procedures: Measure different temperatures, volumes and pressures to objects in
the household (5 c/u) to then perform conversion procedures for units at each measurement.
Temperature (ºC to ºF and ºK), pressure (Pa, Bar, PSI and mmHg) and volume (m3, cm3, L, in3
and ft3).
