ASSIGNMENT FOR MODULE 4, Lesson 1

ELECT 121-B (GENDER AND SOCIETY)

QUESTION:

Which of these seven agents do you consider most important as a

primary agent of socialization and why?

From my own point of view, family is the most important agent of

socialization. It denotes the beginning of socialization for vast majority.
All members of the family show and teach what a child must know and
do. They help the children absorb their way of life and interact with
their community. They partake a big role in children’s lives; in teaching
them the dangers that are in the society. Teenagers usually interact
with their families by learning their lifestyle and setting up signals for
their needs

As we know, either from our own insight as a kid or from our part
in assisting with raising one, socialization incorporates educating and
finding out about a ceaseless cluster of articles and thoughts.
Remember, in any case, that families do not mingle kids in a vacuum.
Numerous social variables influence the manner in which a family
brings up its youngsters. Normally, in all social orders, the family has
consistently been viewed as a social organization that has the biggest
effect in the society.

It helps youthful ones acclimatize their way of life and relate to

their local area. The family likewise gives the youthful individuals their
economic wellbeing. It is anything but a noticeable job in showing these
citizenry the perils and impacts of early sex. Youthful individuals from
the public normally associate with their family members by learning
their schedules and setting up signals for their needs.

In conclusion, among the seven agents of socialization, family is

what I consider the most important agent of socialization. Family is the
one who started to teach us to grow and they will always be our home
where we could share and bring lessons as we socialize to world.
