QUESTION:

What is the importance of gender responsiveness?

Gender responsiveness is how a certain group of people responds to

gender diversity present in the society and to ensure that there is gender equality
as gender does not determine the state of someone or something but their role
and what they can do to make significant contributions. I believe that gender
responsiveness is very essential to our society as it maintains balance on what the
society thinks and how the society distributes the roles in each gender. Moreover,
gender responsiveness helps us determine barriers that divide our society and to
create solutions on how to remove these barriers. It will also help us raise
awareness about the current issues being experienced by the different gender
and be able to give encouragement and uplift them. As we empower each other,
we could benefit not only ourselves and the people around us but also the
society. Being gender responsive could help us be aware of our surroundings and
learn how to handle issues regarding gender differences and inequality.
