Schoolgirl Sidekicks
In the area surrounding the small village of Sukama, Japan, a new group of superheroes trains in secret. Each of
these girls is a student at the Sharta Academy, part of a group of five officially called “Training Team C”, but all
of them have different backgrounds, experiences, and unique powers. The Headmistress of the school, a Japa-
nese lady by the name of Gādian’anguru, has brought the girls together to protect the world.

Alexandra (Alex) Reagen- Metal

Alex was born in the United States to an interracial family. Her father was an African American from a small
town in North Carolina. Her mother was a Caucasian student, visiting from London. A vicious gang took control
of the area when she was eight. Within a year, both of her parents were killed. Shortly thereafter, her maternal
grandmother adopted her and she moved from North Carolina to London.

Juliet Madasco - Water

Juliet has always been the “rich kid”. She got whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it. Because of her
aloof behavior, she has never had many true friends. When she discovered her powers, she originally thought
she was unique. But, when she realized that she was not alone, she began using her powers to help others.

Da’nie Nudstorm - Earth

Born the daughter of a Tongan chieftain, Da’nie survived many horrible challenges when she was younger.
She has decided to use her powers, given to her by a god, to protect others. Because of this, she moved from her
island to Japan to experience the world at its fullest.

Felicia Jampson - Fire

Felicia has always been very active. She has competed in sports most of her life, always training to be the best.
Although her powers are not as well developed as her teammates, she is the most physical of the Schoolgirl
Sidekicks. However, she has a problem keeping her anger in check.

Sarah Drumstude - Air

Sarah was born in Texas, but her family never stayed in one place for very long. They were part of a traveling
circus. Sarah had intended to join them when she was old enough, but she was offered a place at the Sharta
Academy by Gādian’anguru. She is the most casual of the Schoolgirl Sidekicks, always taking things one step
at a time.

were aware of the small school’s true focus on help-

only knew that it had an excellent record for academic

select few girls were chosen to attend.

Eventually, her parents had to remove her from com-

free of her control and she punched her locker, leaving
a scorch mark on the solid metal. Her parents were the
only witnesses, but they could not allow her to contin-

The following year, the family was visited by an elder-

ly Japanese woman seeking to enroll Felicia at a pri-
vate school. Although originally skeptical, her parents
were convinced by Gādian’anguru that this was the
best opportunity for Felicia to learn about her abilities,
learn how to fully control her powers, and become
a responsible and educated young woman. Felicia’s
parents agreed to let their daughter go to the boarding
school, Sharta Academy.

Felicia is now in her first year at the Academy. She

has been assigned to “Training Team C”, better known
as the Schoolgirl Sidekicks. She has meetings with a
therapist weekly to learn anger management.

Motivation

Felicia lives for thrills and the adrenaline rush she gets
from fighting. She realizes, though, that with her pow-

Aside from her crime fighting, she helps lead several
after-school fitness groups for the students, including
self-defense.

Takahashi Hitomi was a brilliant young scientist in the
1970’s. She worked on the theory that mutations are
constantly happening within all life and specifically
within humans. Her research was incredible, especial-
ly for a young Japanese woman, but it was met with
massive disapproval throughout the scientific world.
The concepts of humans with powerful abilities caused
by minor variations in DNA was not acceptable at the
time and she lost her reputation and funding. She was
shunned by the academic world and forced to retire,
before she was thirty.

She took her research with her, but left behind her
school, her laboratory, and any hopes of proving her
hypotheses. Hitomi worked on her family farm near
Hiroshima for almost forty years before her previous
work would change her life. A young business wom-
an, Veronica du Fontaine, stumbled across one of her
few published works and was intrigued. Veronica, the
CEO of Fontaine Global, was intrigued and made it a
priority to track down the aging scientist.

Hitomi was originally skeptical of the young woman.

However, Veronica was able to convince her to come
out of retirement to help the exact people that her
research had predicted. Although the academic world
would never support Hitomi’s research, young mutants
could benefit from her knowledge and be kept safe
from the same people that had originally felt threat-
ened by those possibilities. Additionally, she would
have the funding to continue her work and some of her
findings could be published, albeit under a different
name.

Hitomi adopted the alias of Gādian’anguru and opened

the Sharta Academy, with financing from Veronica du
Fontaine. In under five years, Hitomi has been able
to find, recruit, and train over a dozen girls. She now
keeps the population of the small school at fifteen stu-
dents, allowing only five new students per year. Many
of these young ladies are hired for various positions
within Fontaine Global, but it is not a requirement.

Veronica visits the academy several times per year.

Frequently, these visits are conducted via one of her
many identities.
