urge someone to do something, you feel strongly about it.

The most difficult part of NoFap is controlling sexual urges. All your

motivation, will power, and knowledge is destroyed when the urge hits

you.

The urge to Watch Porn, urge to relapse, or urge to edge is extremely

difficult to control. That’s why so many people fail to deal with it and end

up relapsing.

I can’t even remember how many times I have failed to deal with my

sexual urges and ended up relapsing. But from each failure, I have

learned lots of things that ACTUALLY helped me to control my urges

and quit porn forever.

Failure is the stepping stone of success. Failure can be a great teacher

and can teach you a lot of important lessons. For me, each failure was a

step towards porn free life because I learned a lot of things from it.

But before we dive into this guide, I want to clarify some things.

Sexual Urges are essential in your life. They might be less after quitting

Porn and Masturbation. But they will be there with you as long

as you live.

So this i teach you how to completely STOP sexual urges rather it will

teach you how to control and deal with them.

And Even if you fail to deal with the urge and ended up relapsing, don’t

let yourself be depressed. Just learn from that failure and do not try to

make it happen again.

1. Unfollow all the Female Instagram

Believe it or not, Instagram is everywhere. You use it, your friends use it

and even models use it.

These Instagram models post semi-naked photos of themselves trying

to gain followers. And if you look at their profiles, 90% of the content is

sexually provoking.

This makes your brain crave more sexual content and that’s how you

end up watching porn.

It works like a trigger that triggers your mind to do these things.

The best way to avoid this is to simply unfollow all the female or male

models that post semi-naked or sexual photos.

And this applies to every app or website that you frequently visit. It can

be YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, etc. Just try to avoid content that

provokes you to watch porn and masturbate.

Because the more you will consume such content, the more your brain

will demand porn.

2. Get up and do something else!

We are humans. We have the ability to control our thoughts and actions.

We can divert our mind from negative thoughts and shift them towards

positive ones.

So the moment you feel that urge, you need to GET UP and start doing

something else. You just have to leave the place where you got that urge

and start doing something rather than just lusting.

You can start running outside the house, you can start exercising, eating

food, or anything that distracts your mind from the thought of porn.

It works like this:

So whenever the urge hits you, just count 1, 2, 3 and get up, leave that

place and start doing something else.

This will help you divert your mind from those urges and prevent the

chances of relapsing.

But when you do this, just make sure you stay away from your

computer, smartphone, and anything on which you watch porn.

3. Block Porn using a screen accountability


software

Screen accountability software is a computer program that helps you

create a porn-free environment across various devices.

It blocks all pornographic websites and makes them entirely

inaccessible.

So whenever you try to access porn, you cant access it

This way even if you get the strongest urge and try to access porn, you

won’t be able to watch it just because you blocked it using a screen

accountability software.

4. Take cold showers

This is the best thing you can do whenever you feel that extreme urge to
watch porn and masturbate.

I have used this trick thousands of times when I was about to relapse.

And every single time, it helped me from falling.

So the rule is simple. Whenever you feel that extreme urge of watching

porn, relapsing, or maybe feeling like quitting, just go to your bathroom,

then get your clothes off and start the shower.

Just make sure it’s cold and you do that until you feel calm. This gives

your body a little shock that will put you in a good state of mind.

By doing this, you will feel magical, you will feel freedom and you will

get out of your comfort zone.

I highly recommend cold showers to anyone struggling with extreme

sexual urges and it also has a bunch of other benefits which I have

mentioned in this Infographic.

5.Think about benefits

Just for a second, think about NoFap benefits. Abstaining from PMO has

a lot of benefits.

7. Write Down why you Started NoFap

Everything in life has a purpose and starting NoFap also has some sort

of purpose.

It may vary from person to person but it has some meaning. And you

might also have some purpose for starting NoFap and quitting porn.

Maybe you want to live a healthy life without any addiction or maybe you

achieve some sort of goal in life.

Whatever the purpose is, you need to write it down on a piece of paper.

Simply write down why you started NoFap in first place in 1 or 2 lines.

And whenever the urge hits you, take that paper out and read the

purpose which you wrote while ago. This will motivate you to the next

level and you will forget about the urge and porn.

But just make sure you don’t throw off that paper.

Sexual urge is not a bad thing. It’s just a form of energy that you need to

use wisely.

Instead of wasting it on meaningless things, you should shift that

energy on useful things like learning a new skill, finding new hobbies,

exercising, singing, reading books, meditating, etc.

You should also have some sort of goal in your life that will give you a

reason not to watch porn and waste time on it. So be passionate and

follow your dreams. And try to eliminate all triggers around you and

from your devices. Because the more you feed to your brain, the more it

will demand. And if nothing works, take a cold shower!

➤What are wet dreams(nightfall):-


A wet dream is when a guy ejaculates (or "cums") while he's
sleeping. During ejaculation, semen (the fluid containing sperm)
comes out of the penis and this is what you noticed on your
underwear or pajama pants. Wet dreams usually happen during
dreams that have sexual images. Sometimes guys wake up from a
wet dream, but sometimes they sleep through it.

Wet dreams begin during puberty when the body starts making
more testosterone, a male hormone. Some guys may feel
embarrassed or even guilty about having wet dreams. But they're a
normal part of growing up and you can't stop them from happening.
Most guys have wet dreams at some point during puberty, and even
sometimes as adults. Wet dreams usually happen less as guys get
older, though.

➤How do you survive a flatline in nofap:-


I began my NoFap journey back in february 2020. The scariest term I

came across was NoFap Flatline.

Back then, I was unfamiliar with this term. So, I decided to do some

research but I was not satisfied with the information that I found online.

But after doing some deep research and reading a lot of books, I

become familiar with this term. And to be honest, I found that flatline is

not something you should be worried about.

It’s just a short period that you have to go through before enjoying all

those amazing NoFap Benefits.

But first of all, you need to understand What Is NoFap Flatline?

Flatline is the stage of NoFap when you will experience Zero libido

(Sexual Desire) and will start to see all the negative sides of NoFap. This

simply means No Sexual Desire OR Urges for a specific amount of time

that’s because your brain is going through A Rewiring Process.

During this stage, you don’t have any interest in girls, porn, and

masturbation simply because you have no Libido. You start to lose

interest in everything and you feel disengaged all the time.

An experienced masturbator may get scared by this situation thinking

that their Libido is permanently gone. But you need to understand that

your Libido is not gone permanently and will come back after a certain

amount of time.

It’s just one of the NoFap Stages that every Fapstronaut has to go

through.

In this guide, I’ll share with you everything that I came to know about

NoFap flatline backed-up with my personal experiences and from stories

of successful fapstronaut.

So, this is the most comprehensive guide on the NoFap flatline. Let’s

Is NoFap Flatline Normal?

Flatline is a supernormal part of the NoFap and Semen Retention


journey. It’s just a sign of your brain healing from excessive amounts of
dopamine release and masturbating all day long.

Every Fapstronaut goes through a flatline. It’s not something to be

worried about.

What is the Reason for NoFap Flatline?


Flatline indicates that you were heavily addicted to PMO (Porn,

Masturbation, Orgasm). Your brain was Bombarded with Dopamine

doses when you were doing PMO.

Now that you have stopped watching Porn and masturbation, your brain

is basically removing all the excessive dopamine through this NoFap

Reboot Process. Because our brain has to rebalance the Dopamine

Reward system and goes from high dopamine secretion to nothing, it

goes through a period of Flatline.

It’s just a sign that your brain is healing from porn addiction and nothing

else.

What are the NoFap Flatline Symptoms?


Note: These Symptoms are temporary. They will fade away once your

flatline period is over. Just read these symptoms to identify whether you

are in flatline or not.

● Feelings of loneliness
● Porn-induced erectile dysfunction / Erectile dysfunction

● Suicidal thoughts

When I will Have NoFap Flatline?

NoFap timeline is different for everyone. It depends upon how much you

were addicted to Porn and Masturbation.

Most often, people start to experience flatline, after 2-3 weeks of

abstaining from Porn and Masturbation. But experiencing a flatline even

after 4 days is normal.

I got it in the third week of NoFap. But again it’s different for everyone,

someone may have it even after 90 days or 250 days of abstaining from

PMO. The more you fapped, the earlier you will have Flatline.

How long does the NoFap flatline last?


Like I said NoFap flatline period is not the same for everyone. It again

depends upon your age and how much you were addicted to Porn and

Masturbation.

Since you are an adult, Neuroplasticity takes a long time to improve. The

more you fapped in your life, the longer the Flatline will last.

Some people have reported up to several years of flatlining on NoFap

Reddit, but if you ask me you don’t have to wait that much longer. My

flatline ended after like 30 days.

Yes, I know that is still very long but still you have to keep hope and let

things happen.

Should you watch Porn during NoFap Flatline?

Watching porn is probably the worst thing you can do during your

flatline period. Not only it provokes you to relapse but it also delays the

reboot process.

Most guys watch porn during the flatline period mainly because they

think their libido is permanently gone and will never come back. So they

try to test themselves by getting hard.

But in reality, your libido is not gone permanently and it will definitely

come back after a certain amount of time. This happens because your

brain is healing from all those heavy sexual stimulations and need some

break.

So you should not watch porn at any given condition and if you do so,

then it will slow down the healing process.

How To Overcome The Flatline Period: 6

ACTIONABLE Steps!

Flatline can be a huge pain while doing NoFap. It’s the biggest obstacle

that is stopping you from succeeding NoFap.

And not only that, but it also invites a lot of problems in life other than

porn. This includes low libido, anxiety, stress, brain fog, insomnia, and

more.

That’s why so many guys get scared during this period and find

themselves relapsing again and again.

They have a deep desire to overcome this period and want to move

forward in their NoFap journey, but they just don’t know how to do it.

you can implement to overcome the flatline period.

Each step has a powerful impact and will help you overcome the flatline

So be sure to implement all steps mentioned below.

1. Know that it’s normal and will go away

The most important thing that you need to know is that NoFap flatline is

normal. And it’s not something you should be worried about.

It has to happen and everyone goes through it before enjoying all those

NoFap benefits.You need to understand that it’s normal and will go away.

A lot of guys freak out when they enter into their flatline period. They

think that their libido is permanently gone and now there is no way to

bring it back.

This type of thinking creates a lot of problems like stress, brain fog,

depression and even makes you relapse

But in reality, flatline is just a stage of NoFap that everyone has to go

through. And it definitely goes away after a certain amount of time.

Your brain needs some time to heal itself from all those heavy sexual

stimulations that you have been giving it from ages. That’s why it shuts

down and doesn’t work well & responsive. And that’s why you feel low,

stressed, depressed, and less sexually active. It’s like a maintenance

mode for your brain

But it’s not permanent and it will definitely fade away. I can tell this

because I have gone through 17 flatlines. So the best thing to do is not

to worry about flatline and believe that it will go away.

This will give the motivation and energy required to overcome the

flatline period. And if you stress too much about flatline, you are going

to get demotivated and will end-up relapsing.

2. Block Porn

Let’s be honest, flatline is not easy. It’s mentally and physically difficult
to go through. You need a lot of self-control and patience to overcome
this period. And one little thought or trigger can break your streak

But what if I told you, you don’t need to have any of them. Yes, I am not

kidding You just need to block porn from all your devices and 80% of the

work is done.

Here’s how it works:

1. You need to block porn using filtering software.


2. Then even if you accidentally or purposely try to watch porn,
you’ll see something like this on your screen

This will lock you in a situation where watching porn becomes almost

impossible. This is the power of filtering software.

But let me tell you, the reason for 95% of relapses during my 23 flatlines

was porn.

And I even get a lot of comments on my blog that most of the people

relapse during their flatline just because of easy access to porn.

What usually happens is when you feel that low libido, you start to freak

out and try to test yourself by watching porn to see if you can get hard.

Unfortunately, you don’t get hard because your brain is healing itself

and it’s not that sexually active

And you don’t have to do it. You have to avoid all sorts of sexual

simulations as much as possible during your flatline period. You just

need to give your brain a break.

But still, a lot of guys do it and end up relapsing. And you don’t need to

be that guy.

You need to block porn and make it inaccessible during your entire

NoFap journey.

3. Engage yourself in some sort of healthy activity

As a human being, you have millions of things to do rather than wasting

your time on nasty things like porn.

And it’s really important to engage yourself in some sort of healthy

activity so that it distracts you from flatline and porn.

Plus doing something instead of just worrying about flatline will give

you those natural hits of dopamine. This will keep you engaged and

happy throughout your hard times.

And as I said, there are millions of things you can do other than

watching porn.

You can start reading books, you can exercise, you can eat, you can

paint, you can dance, you can sing and you can do literally anything you

want.

One of the best books that I recommend during your NoFap journey is

“A World Without Porn” by Frank Daemon.

4. Change your environment:-

The environment around you plays an important role in shaping your

NoFap journey. If you have an isolated environment, then you’re more

likely to relapse and not going to overcome the flatline period.

Just think of it: you only watch porn when no one is around you or in

your room. But what if you could change the environment of your room

and make it less private.

Then you’re less likely to relapse and more likely to overcome the

flatline period.

So the first thing that you need to do is open up all the doors and

windows of your room.

If you live alone in your house, then try to avoid staying inside for a

longer period. Just go out and spend some time.

5. Meditate

I personally believe that meditation is a way to connect with the infinite

universe. It’s the path to greatness and infinite intelligence. Now, this

may sound like a gimmick (if you haven’t tried meditation yet) but I

strongly believe it.

I started doing meditation when I was in my 3rd flatline because I felt a

strong need for it. Quickly after 7 days, I started to experience the

benefits of meditation like mental clarity, confidence, calmness, and

focus.

It also decreased my negative thoughts about NoFap which increased

my belief in NoFap. Overall, meditation was worth it and I highly

recommend it to everyone.

6. Take Cold Showers

You might have heard this tip all over the internet that whenever you get

a sexual urge, you should take a cold shower.

But you might not have tried it yet. Because if you do, you won’t be here

looking for how to overcome the flatline period.

A cold shower is like an emergency weapon that you can use in the

worst conditions to save yourself from relapsing. And it works

fantastically well.

It gives your body and brain a little shock that brings you into the real

world and takes you out of your comfort zone. This makes you

extremely alert about the things happening around you and reminds you

not to watch porn and fap. I just can’t express a cold shower in words.

You have to try it and see how it feels. It has saved me from dozens of

relapses and negative thoughts.

It played an important role in overcoming my flatline period. I highly

recommend cold showers if you are struggling with the NoFap flatline.

➤Porn affects the brain like a drug:-

It may be surprising, but porn affects the brain in ways very

similar to harmful substances, like tobacco. Studies have shown

that porn stimulates the same areas of the brain as addictive

drugs, making the brain release the same chemicals. And just

like drugs, porn triggers pathways in the brain that cause

craving, leading users back for more and more extreme “hits” to

get high.

On the surface, tobacco and porn don’t seem to have much in common. One is

kept behind the counter at the gas station or supermarket because of its

well-known harmful effects; the other is available virtually anywhere. One can

quickly become an expensive habit while the other comes free with an internet

connection. And let’s be honest, Hugh Hefner doesn’t exactly conjure images of a

secretive tobacco executive.

So where’s the similarity? Inside the brain.

In case you’re not a neurosurgeon, here’s a crash course in how the brain works.

Deep inside the brain, there’s something called a “reward center.”

[1] You’ve got one. Your dog’s got one. For mammals, it comes standard. The

reward center’s job is to release “pleasure” chemicals into your brain whenever

you do something healthy, like eating tasty food, doing a hard workout, or

enjoying a kiss. The “high” you get from that chemical rush makes you want to

repeat that behavior again and again. Thanks to your reward center, your brain is

hardwired to motivate you to do things that will improve your health and chances

of survival. It’s a great system…normally.

The problem is, the brain can be tricked.

When addictive substances are used, they give the brain a “false signal.” Since

the brain can’t tell the difference between the drugs and a real, healthy reward, it

goes ahead and activates the reward center. An important chemical called

dopamine is released, which makes the brain start developing a craving for the

fake reward. As long as there’s a lot of dopamine floating around in the brain, the

cravings will keep getting stronger, and the consumer will feel super-motivation

to keep pursuing more of the drug. Essentially, addictive drugs hijack the brain,

turning it around and forcing it in a direction it was never meant to go. Instead of

encouraging the consumer toward healthy behaviors, drugs lead the consumer

into things that aren’t healthy at all, and can even be dangerous.

Want to guess what else does that? Porn.

Researchers have found that internet porn and addictive substances like tobacco

have very similar effects on the brain, [ and they are significantly different from

how the brain reacts to healthy, natural pleasures like food or sex. Think about it.

When you’re munching a snack or enjoying a romantic encounter, eventually your

cravings will drop and you’ll feel satisfied. Why? Because your brain has a

built-in “off” switch for natural pleasures. “Dopamine cells stop firing after

repeated consumption of a ‘natural reward’ (e.g. food or sex),” explains Nora

Volkow, Director of The National Institute of Drug Abuse. But addictive drugs go

right on increasing dopamine levels without giving the brain a break. The more

hits drug users take, the more dopamine floods their brain, and the stronger their

urges are to keep using. That’s why drug addicts find it so hard to stop once they

take the first hit. “[O]ne hit may turn into many hits, or even a lost weekend.”

What else has the power to keep pumping dopamine endlessly into the brain?

You guessed it: porn.

Scientists have long known that sexual interest and performance can be

increased simply by introducing something new—like a different sexual position,

a toy, or a change of partner. That’s because the brain responds to new sexual

stimuli by pumping out more and more dopamine, flooding the brain just like a

drug would. And “new” is exactly what internet porn sites provide: an endless

stream of fresh erotic images delivered at high speed, in vivid color, 24/7. Before

consumers even start to get bored, they can always give themselves another

dopamine boost just by clicking on something different, something more

stimulating and hardcore than before.

In fact, porn consumption follows a very predictable pattern that’s eerily similar to

drug use. Over time, excessive levels of “pleasure” chemicals cause the porn

consumer’s brain to develop tolerance, just like the brain of a drug user. In the

same way that a junkie eventually requires more and more of a drug to get a buzz

or even feel normal, regular porn consumers will end up turning to porn more

often or seeking out more extreme versions—or both—to feel excited again. And

once the porn habit is established, quitting can even lead to withdrawal

symptoms similar to drugs.

But there’s good news too. Even those with serious porn habits can break away

and reclaim their lives. Thousands have done it, and if you’re looking for

resources for yourself or a loved one, then leave this habit of drug

How to improve sperm health:-

Normal semen contains 40 million to 300 million sperm per milliliter. A

low sperm count is considered to be anything between 10 and 20 million

sperm per milliliter. Twenty million sperm per milliliter may be adequate

for pregnancy if the sperm are healthy.

on envy, greed, anger, and fear. Attainment begins to lose its thrill.

Then, there’s a shift from external achievement to inner transformation.

You begin to see that you can use sexual transmutation to transform

yourself. Then, things get more interesting.

7 Reasons to Pursue Sexual Transmutation

So now let’s quickly review some of the reasons individuals may be interested in

sexual transmutation and the potential benefits it can produce.

1) Improve Your Physical Health

A primary advantage of sexual transmutation is that it can radically improve our

vitality, longevity, and overall physical health. Also, if you suffer from lower back

or knee pain, there’s a good chance it’s related to your kidneys (see below), and sex

transmutation can help.

2) Achieve Material Success

We discussed this above. Higher achievement is the most common application of

sex transmutation.

3) Cultivate More Physical Energy

Semen has over 200 different proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It’s a

treasure chest of nutrients that the body and mind need to perform at its best.

Sexual activity can deplete your life force while sexual transmutation cultivates it

(see below).

4) Unlock More Creativity

Sexual energy is also creative energy. And the sexual energy we don’t expend

during sex can be channeled into the creative process.

5) Improve Your Sex Life

When we deplete our sexual energy, we have a low libido or sex drive. In men, this

often leads to impotence. Through sexual transmutation and having sex in

moderation, one can improve their sex life.

6) Develop Martial and Internal Power

Eastern material artists and qigong practitioners use sexual transmutation to

cultivate internal power by converting sexual energy into chi (see below). Many

professional athletes do so as well.

7) Achieve Higher Spiritual Development

Perhaps the highest use of sexual transmutation is to use it to awaken and

cultivate the Spirit within.

What Blocks Sexual Transmutation?

Sexual transmutation, in a fundamental sense, is a natural process. When we’re

not transmuting sexual energy into creative energy and willpower, it means

something is blocking or misdirecting it.

Buddhists call this misdirection indulgence while Taoists describe it as

leakage. Our life force, in essence, leaks out of us. The whole objective of

meditation and the alchemical practices in the East is to stop this leakage.

The source of this leakage is in the mind: random thoughts and negative

emotions like anger, fear, and guilt. (Guilt blocks the sacral chakra.)

In Tibetan Buddhism, they explain that the source of human suffering is the Three

Poisons: attraction, aversion, and delusion, or desire, aggression, and ignorance.

All three poisons cause leakage.

The Art of Seminal Retention (For Men Only)

A note for women: while this brief section is about ejaculation

in men, the information presented here is still highly relevant

to any woman who’s currently in a relationship with a man

or intends to have one.

A critical aspect of sexual transmutation taught in many ancient philosophies from

Asia and India is seminal retention.

Seminal retention is the practice of abstaining from ejaculation. These ancient

traditions believed that they could cultivate their life force through seminal

retention to achieve greater vitality and longevity.

Both the nutrients within the semen as well as the life essence with the sperm

itself, when retained, can be used and absorbed back into your body to support

your higher energy centers, your nervous system, and your brain.

Have you ever noticed an immediate reduction in energy after ejaculating?

Perhaps you’ve observed a slight sense of depression as well?

The French term La petite mort translates to “the little death” and is used to

describe a sexual orgasm.

What if men weren’t designed to release their seed (except for procreation)?

I’m not suggesting this is necessarily so, but it’s a question worthy of

consideration, for it is true, it might help explain the current poor state of

masculinity in our society.

Ejaculation Frequency for Optimal Health

That said, in many Taoist texts you’ll find guidelines for the
frequency of ejaculation that’s safe for men interested in
preserving their life force.

The younger you are, the more life force you have. As you get older, this life force

depletes.

● Teenagers: Sex once a day

● In your 20s: Once every three days

● In your 30s: Once a week

● In your 40s: Once every two weeks

● In your 60s: Once every 100 days

Signs of excessive ejaculation include chronic fatigue, stiffness in the joints, and

pain in your knees and lower back.

And for sexual energy transmutation, these frequency ranges are probably too

generous.

What About Pornography?

You won’t find much about pornography in ancient texts. Porn is a new problem

that plagues the latest generations. Here, however, we can turn to scientific

research.

● Porn usage easily becomes compulsive and addictive.

● Masturbation and pornography create problems with

arousal, sexual desire, and sexual performance.

Countless other studies point to the harmful effects of pornography. Here are

some shocking stats about porn usage.

From the context of sexual transmutation, pornography is perhaps it’s the greatest

The Three Treasures of Taoism

For the remainder of this sexual transmutation guide, I’m going to take a more

Eastern perspective.

Anyone familiar with Taoism will know the three treasures: Jing, Qi, and Shen.

Jing, Qi, and Shen are energetic substances or frequencies that control many

aspects of our health, behavior, psyche, and spiritual development.

But even though these three treasures are considered three different substances,

they are of the same essence, similar to how water can take the form of gas, liquid,

and solid (ice).

Jing – Essence

Jing is the lowest vibration of the three treasures. Many people mistake Jing as

sexual energy or seminal fluid, but excessive sex does deplete one’s Jing. Jing most

closely translates in English to Life’s Essence.

Qi – Energy

The Essence of the body converts to Qi (or Chi), which most closely translates to

energy. Qi is a higher vibration than Jing, and it transports information

throughout the body’s energy system.

Shen – Spirit

Shen, the highest or most refined vibration, is the energy of consciousness. Many

schools of Taoism consider Shen the individual’s Spirit. Shen manifests as bright

white light, and its frequency is closest to Heaven.

Taoist Energy Transmutation: The Return of the


Spirit

Perceiving sexual transmutation through the lens of Taoism then, the primary goal

in this process isn’t material but spiritual.

The original alchemists weren’t early Western chemists attempting to transmute

lead into gold. Instead, these ancient Chinese Taoists were converting the

elemental substances in their bodies.

These Inner Alchemists sought to refine their Jing into Qi by preserving their Jing

(through seminal retention) and cultivating their Qi through a healthy, balanced

lifestyle, virtuosity, and various Qigong practices (including standing meditations

like Zhan Zhuang).

Then, they sought to convert their Qi into Shen through meditative techniques

designed to turn the body’s torso into a cauldron that refines the Qi. This

alchemical process transmutes their energy into Shen or the Original Spirit.

Sexual Transmutation Starts With Healthy


Kidneys

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidneys are responsible for growth,

reproduction, urinary function, bones, brain, and the storehouse of our essence

(Jing).

If the kidneys are deficient in what’s called vital-qi, the guardian qi (the subtle

energy field around the body) will also be weak. And this deficiency lowers the

immune system, which affects the rest of the body.

The kidneys are one of the essential organs in the human body, and we tend to give

them little attention.

Improper regulation of sexual energy depletes Jing and causes weakness in this

organ over time. Coldness in the limbs is a common sign of kidney deficiency.

Regardless of your reason for pursuing sexual transmutation, it’s a great idea to

heal and strengthen your kidneys first.

Tips on How to Strengthen the Kidneys

There are many ways to strengthen your kidneys and cultivate your Life Essence

(sexual energy):

Do a kidney cleanse.

The kidneys and the liver don’t like anything cold—especially during winter

months and in cold climates. The more sensitive you become to your body’s energy

system, the more averse to cold foods (like ice cream) you’ll likely become.

Reduce your media consumption or go on a 30-day media


fast.

Why is this important? Advertising, television programming, video games, and

films are entrenched with sexual images designed to stimulate you. And these

images draw your energy out, whether you want them too or not. Many genres of

music like pop and R&B do so as well.

Avoid sexual stimulation for a few weeks.

Avoid sexual activity, masturbation, or sexual stimulation of any kind. Although

Jing is not sperm, men lose Jing through sex and ejaculation. Conserving your

Essence is a primary key to sexual transmutation.

Face your fears.

Each organ relates to a specific predominant emotion. For the kidneys, it’s fear.

Excessive fear damages the kidneys. Containing your fear is a vital step for entire

mature adulthood.

Practice kidney qigong.

There are many practices in qigong that specifically target the kidneys. For

example, the seventh exercise in the Eight Brocades (Ba Daun Jin) and the

kidney sound (“Chui”) in the Six Healing Sounds.

Keep your cell phone and technology at a distance.

Over a dozen studies show that radiation from cell phones impair sperm

function. Never keep your cell phone in your pants pockets, and always keep it

away from your head (always use a headset).
