Focusing on Mental Health of Young People

 Covid-19 has a diverse effect on young generation.

 Students are weighed down by the humiliation and hardships in


their life.

 The extent of social distancing and isolation are undergoing during


this pandemic.

 Without excess to education and jobs, they are more prone to


depression.

 For young people school or college inculcates a sense of physical


and mental well-being that is destroyed by isolation and despair
over the future.

 Campus offers social networks, exposes them to new ideas and


avenues, creates aspirations.
 Mental health issues manifest themselves in many ways, from
insomnia to eating disorders to emotional swings to self-harming.

 In many homes, parents are unable to understand the disturbing


behavior patterns rather they are dismissed as just acting up.

 The governmental and non-governmental organization’s need to


make a great effort to communicate with young people.

 Sometimes, all that is required is a few words of hope and


encouragement.

 Mental health should also be given priority like any other illness.
